Tanjiro visited Rengoku’s home and got into an argument with Shinjuro. He found no progress in finding out about the Hinokami Kagura technique.
Tanjiro and the slayers trained for a few months in the Butterfly Mansion after the Flame Hashira’s passing. They then encountered Tengen, the Sound Hashira, and were recruited for a mission in the Entertainment District.

Episode 2 Speculations and Discussion
The first half of the episode portrayed the aftermath of Rengoku’s death with his brother, Senjuro, and his father. As much as Shinjuro spoke ill of his son, you can see that he really felt the loss in that one moment.
The slayers have met Tengen and are on with their next mission. What will the Entertainment District arc bring next for the slayers? How will the slayers deal with the situation in the next part?
Tengen seems to be a jerk at first glance, but there might be more to his story that we’ll get to see as the episodes progress. The opening for this arc was stunning, and it shows the theme of the entertainment district very well.

Episode 2 of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime’s second season anime, titled “Infiltrating the Entertainment District”, has been released on Sunday, Dec 12, 2021.

Episode 1 Recap
This episode starts with the recap of the final part of the Mugen train incident. Afterward, the scenes reveal a strange kid living with his adoptive parent. With the boy in his room, Akaza appears out of nowhere.
Akaza mentions he’s here to report his mission. It is revealed the demon Muzan has taken a new form in this boy. Hearing Akaza’s report on defeating a hashira, Muzan is not pleased, for he didn’t kill the other demon slayers.
The demon king furiously states that the goal is to eliminate the demon corps completely. Since Akaza didn’t kill all the slayers at the site, Muzan is disappointed. After Akaza is dismissed, he gets annoyed and vows to kill Tanjiro the next time he meets him.
Meanwhile, Zenitsu is seen at a hospital taking a meal for Tanjiro. He realizes even the strong have bad days, but they continue to train and do their best. Later he finds that Tanjiro left the hospital even though he isn’t fully healed.
Tanjiro is guided by the Flame Hashira’s Kasugai to Rengoku’s family house. He finds Rengoku’s brother, Senjuro, and lets him know Rengoku asked to relay a message before he passed away. Shinjuro appears and insults Rengoku for being weak.
Tanjiro finding Shinjuro’s words crossing the line puts a stop by calling him out. When Shinjuro sees Tanjiro’s earrings, he attacks Tanjiro for being a wielder of the Sun Breathing technique.
He explains how he knows about Sun Breathing and says it was the first technique. All other techniques were derived from it and mimicked the powerful style. Tanjiro realizes Shinjuro might be talking about Hinokami Kagura.
Hearing Shinjuro talk about him, Tanjiro attacks him but gets punched instead. Tanjiro thinks if Hinokami Kagura was Sun Breathing technique, why couldn’t he save Rengoku back then. With that, he headbutts Shinjuro.
Afterward, with the commotion over, Tanjiro and Senjuro are seen talking about Renjoku’s final moments. Senjuro then gives Tanjiro a book that might help him understand Hinokami Kagura. They then find the pages all shredded up and know it was Shinjuro’s doing.
Tanjiro says he knows about the technique but needs to be physically capable of controlling his movements. He only knows by training hard, he can achieve it and reach Rengoku’s strength. Senjuro talks about how he couldn’t change his nichirin sword by improving his swordsmanship.
So he decided to do something else that would be helpful for people. Tanjiro conveys Rengoku’s words for Senjuro, stating to walk down the path that he feels is right. While Tanjiro heads back, Senjuro gives him Rengoku’s sword guard and says it will protect him.
As Tanjiro returned to the Butterfly Mansion, he and the slayers stayed there to train and heal. They even started going for solo demon missions to fulfill their duties. One day, Tanjiro finds a commotion in the Butterfly Mansion.
He finds someone taking Aoi and Naho for a mission forcefully. He tries to attack the person but misses. Revealing himself as a hashira, Tengen says such attacks won’t stop him.
Tanjiro then volunteers with Zenitsu and Inosuke to replace Aoi’s place in the mission. Tengen agrees to it, and they find out they’re going to a famous spot in Japan – the Entertainment District.
