Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba saw massive growth in its popularity during 2018 and 2019, which eventually led to the series claiming the ‘best-selling manga of the year’ title.
However, during the Final Battle arc, fans started having complaints about the way Koyoharu Gotoge, series creator, was handling the progression of the series.
Upon further investigation, it seems that Koyoharu has rushed the ending part of the manga due to family issues. Koyoharu had to leave Tokyo as a result of this situation with her parents.
So, to elaborate on the Kimetsu news, Gotoge's apparently no longer able to work as a mangaka for now due to a situation with her parents, and has had to leave Tokyo as a result.

During the final battle arc, after Akaza’s death, fans started complaining that the manga’s quality had considerably reduced.
In the fight against Kokushibo (Yoriichi’s brother), there were even instances of the same panels being repurposed again in the fight.
Even though it took 3 Hashiras and Genya to take down Kokushibo, it felt like the whole fight was rushed.
Even the final sub-arc, the Sunrise Countdown arc, the whole confrontation against Muzan, which had been set up for years, did not live up to fans’ expectations. The power-scaling felt inconsistent, and people really wished they got to see more of Yoriichi.
That being said, a few inconsistencies in the story’s end doesn’t mean that the manga has lost any of its credibility. Demon Slayer is still one of the best manga out there, and the stats prove it.
The series is now ending on 17/18th May in the 24th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump. Raw scans of chapter 204 suggest a time-skip, which has limitless implications.
About Demon Slayer:

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado. They persisted after a great tragedy — the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko is barely spared to live as a demon.
As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
