Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is undoubtedly one of the best action anime to watch. It has gained popularity worldwide and its movie Mugen Train Arc has become the highest-grossing anime film in history.
With the third season approaching closer, Netflix users in the US might wonder if they will ever get to watch the latest season on the platform. You don’t have to wait for long.
Netflix has notified its American viewers on its listing for the Demon Slayer series with a message – “Season 2 Coming January 21”. The second season includes two story arcs and eighteen episodes in total.
The first arc retells the story of the 2020 anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc in seven episodes with additional scenes. The second arc covers the Entertainment District Arc in eleven episodes.
Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the second season in October 2021 as it aired. The third season will arrive in April this year and will cover the Swordsmith Village Arc.
A special theatrical screening ‘To the Swordsmith Village’ will also be held in February across 80 countries which would feature the first episode of the third season.
Ufotable is in charge of producing the anime, with Haruo Sotozaki as the director. Akira Matsushima designed the characters and is also the chief animation director.
About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 and ended in May 2020 with 23 collected tankōbon volumes.
In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.
As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
