Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the biggest success story in the anime industry right now, is back with its second season.
After the massive earning spree of Mugen Train, the movie, the creators have decided to hit the iron while it’s hot.
What better time to release a second season than when the series is already basking in the glory of its latest movie? With a new arc and another handsome hunk of a hashira, the series seems to be on a roll.
The second season for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series has just been announced! The new season will adapt the Entertainment District Arc from the manga and will premiere within 2021.
The new visual shows the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, posing with his giant twin swords. As the sound hashira, he has superhuman hearing power and can even detect underground noises.
His power even allows him to use echolocation. Yes, the same abilities that bats have.
The second season continues directly from where the Mugen Train movie left off.
The arc will take us on another journey with Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu as they work to solve another mystery. This time, they will have the help of the Sound Hashira.
Our demon-slaying trio will help Uzui search for his wives who went missing while on a mission to investigate demons in a district.
I cannot wait for all the action sequences and the gag parts. You have to stay glued to the second season if you want to see Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke dressing up as cute girls.
The staff and cast from the anime’s first season will be reprising their roles in season two. Till the second season premieres, you can watch the four Valentine’s Day-themed short anime that debuted on 14th February.
About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge.
Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.
In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon.
Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.
As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or, better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
