The Demon Slayer manga is about to end with its 205th chapter on 17th May. While this news makes many people upset about the series’ end, here is something for people to look forward to.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, the sequel movie to the Demon Slayer anime, was recently announced for release in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Brunei. The release date has not yet been revealed.
The film will be released in Japan on 16th October. It adapts the Mugen Train arc from the manga. The anime’s last episode built a nice segway into the movie as it ended with the trio of Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke boarding the train.
Tanjiro and Inosuke, who had never seen a train before, acted quite comically the first time they saw it. Inosuke calls the train a mighty beast, but he should’ve been more careful with his wording as the arc revolves around a demon, making the entire train a part of its body.
The trio runs into the fire Hashira — Rengoku, on the train, and together they defeat the demon who caused this entire mess. To their surprise, after they defeat the demon (a member of the Lower Moons) Upper Moon 3, Akaza, shows up and challenges Rengoku to a fight.
He tries to recruit Rengoku by offering him an infinite lifespan to increase his strength; however, Rengoku refuses, and the fight ensues. As someone who reads the Demon Slayer manga, I am quite excited to watch Akaza in action as he is my favorite Upper Moon.
