In Episode 5 of “Delicious in Dungeon”, we see a different group of adventurers, pumped with motivation, aiming to take down the lunatic magician. Unfortunately, the show focuses on Laios and his friends, so this new party dies soon after their introduction. However, Laios’s party found their corpses while venturing into the dungeon.
After leaving them behind, the group encounters a lot of ghosts and has a hard time taking care of them. They run until they reach a temporary safe place. There, Senshi brews up a potent holy water. Using that, the heroes not only take care of the ghosts but make delicious holy water sorbet in the process, too.
1. Episode 6 Release Date
Episode 6 of “Delicious in Dungeon” will be released on Thursday, February 8, 2024. It is usually released every Thursday, and you can watch the episode as soon as it is released on Netflix.
I. Is “Delicious in Dungeon” on a Break?
No, “Delicious in Dungeon” is not on a break this week, and Episode 6 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 6 Speculation
The problems in the dungeon don’t seem to end, but at least Laios has a reliable friend there, or should we say, a reliable weapon. It seems that the weapon can detect dangers that can’t be detected with normal human senses. Episode 4 made it clear how much the whole party misses Falin and how her absence had put them in a tough spot.
We also saw another former member of Laios’s party, a dwarf lady. It’s safe to assume that she died at the hands of the dragon, but if she’s alive there somewhere, we can expect to meet her in future episodes. In episode 5, our heroes will dive further down into the dungeons with known and unknown dangers waiting for them.
3. Recap of Episode 5
The episode started with a different dungeon adventurer team in the overworld. The group set out for the intermediate floors of the dungeon, and after killing some enemies, they found a small box. Once they opened it, they were shocked by the amount of treasure inside. They decide to return to the surface and sell the gems and gold for better equipment.
Next, we see Laios and the others again. While venturing through the dungeon, they come across the adventurers we just talked about, but well, they were already dead. While Marcille was casting an anti-zombie spell on them, Laios also found the reason for their death.
The gems they found earlier were actually jewel bugs, and getting attacked by them caused their death. Laios’s new sword reacted to them, warning Laios about it beforehand. After taking those down, Senshi got to sorting them according to their edibility cause, of course, he was going to cook them.
After eating the food Senshi prepared, Chilchuck asked if he should throw away the non-edible ones, and Senshi said yes. Marcille asked why they were not edible, and Senshi’s answer gave Chilchuck and Marcille a heart attack. He calmly said that they weren’t edible cause they were real gems.
As they moved forward, the group was attacked by a bunch of ghosts. While running away from them, they reminisced how Falin was so good at handling ghosts. They got to temporary safety, and Senshi boiled various stuff together to make usable holy water. They warded off the ghosts with that, and in the process, they made holy water sorbet. The group enjoyed the delicious dessert as the problems had ended for the time.

Dungeon Meshi is a fantasy gourmet manga by Ryoko Kui. It started getting published in 2014. It is also licensed by Yen Press and published in English as ‘Delicious in Dungeon’. As of August 2022, 12 volumes have been released.
The story starts after a whole kingdom is sunk, and its survivor king promises his treasury to anyone who can defeat the culprit magician. Guilds are thus formed, and tons of adventures go on this journey.
The protagonist loses his sister to a dragon on one such journey and promises to bring her back. On his way, he and his party need to survive by cooking monsters inside the dungeon.
