In Episode 9 of “Delicious in Dungeon,” titled “Tentacles/Stew,” Laios and the others meet an old friend, Namari. She was there as the escort for a different party. Marcille really wasn’t happy to see her since earlier she refused to help them for free. After some peculiar events, Laios had to help Namari’s new party, and in exchange, he had them heal Marcille.
Later, they did various stuff like cooking a tentacle monster, fighting the undine, and yes, of course, cooking it too. Surprisingly, cooking the undine was Marcille’s idea since she was all out of mana, and the undine was a great source of it. Marcille and Namari were on good terms again at the end of the episode. As they say, “All’s well that ends well.”

2. Episode 10 Speculation
Now that both the undine problem and the problem regarding Marcille’s health have been solved, Laios and the party are finally good to proceed forward again. They met one of their old friends and had quite an interesting time. They are only steps away from the red dragon that ate Falin, yet the journey has gotten so much harder now.
The dangers in this medium level of the dungeons are really something one cannot joke about. Laios and his friends are pretty capable, so they’ll surely reach the dragon safely, but what happens while fighting the dragon is a whole different story.
3. Recap of Episode 9
Another party found Laios’s party while they were resting and thinking about how to help Marcille. Coincidentally, Laios knew one of the members of this other party. It was Namari, their old friend and someone who used to be a part of their party. She was working for a different party now, led by a gnome researcher.
Marcille held a bad grudge against her since she didn’t want to work for free to save Falin. Laios asked the gnome, Mr. Tansu, to heal Marcille, but he refused to do it for free. Laios wanted him to know about the undine nearby, and Tansu replied that handling the undine is child’s play for them. Things didn’t work out as he planned, and Namari died from the undine’s attack.
Their group came back to where Laios and the others were. Tansu revived Namari, and before leaving again, he proposed to Laios that if he helped him complete his task, he’d heal Marcille for him. Laios gladly took up this offer and went deeper into the ruins with him. He was clearing out some roots for Tansu when his sword suddenly sensed the presence of a monster.
Without heeding Laios’s warning, Tansu had one of his party members attack the monster in the dark, and as soon as it was hurt, it captured him. It was a tentacle monster and had poisonous stings. Laios helped them defeat it; in return, Tansu healed Marcille and him. The undine was still a hurdle they couldn’t beat, so Tansu and his group decided to resurface.
Surprising Marcille, Laiso asked Tansu to take Marcille with them to the surface. When Marcille asked why, Laios told her that she was out of mana, and it was dangerous for her to continue in the dungeon. As a last resort to help the party, Marcille begged Namari to help them, but Chilchuck was against it for both of their future.
After this, Marcille suggested something really dangerous. She said that by drinking the undine, she could restore her magic, but Laios pointed out that defeating it was already hard, let alone capturing it. She tried to think up ways to defeat it, and after realizing none of them would work, she said she’d heat up Senshi’s pot and use it as a shield.
This was when Namari noticed the pot for the first time, and she was fairly shocked after checking the material and understanding that the pot was made of adamant, the best material for blacksmithing. They decided to use the pot and the lid to catch the undine. Senshi was strong enough to withstand the pure strength of the undine, but Laios wasn’t.
Namari couldn’t just leave them to it, so she took Laios’s place, and with Senshi’s help, the two of them finally caught the undine and put it on fire. Marcille started drinking it immediately, but Senshi stopped her, saying she shouldn’t drink it like that. He made a stew out of it, which they all enjoyed.
After the meal, Tansu told Namari that she could stay with Marcilee and the others if she wanted to, but Namari refused, and everyone seemed to be okay with this decision. They chatted about their old days for a bit before finally going their own ways, and after all that had happened, Marcille and Namari were on good terms again.

Dungeon Meshi is a fantasy gourmet manga by Ryoko Kui. It started getting published in 2014. It is also licensed by Yen Press and published in English as ‘Delicious in Dungeon’. As of August 2022, 12 volumes have been released.
The story starts after a whole kingdom is sunk, and its survivor king promises his treasury to anyone who can defeat the culprit magician. Guilds are thus formed, and tons of adventures go on this journey.
The protagonist loses his sister to a dragon on one such journey and promises to bring her back. On his way, he and his party need to survive by cooking monsters inside the dungeon.
