Fenyx’s journey towards finding her true identity is quite eventful in Immortals Fenyx Rising. Not only does she have to solve various puzzles, compete in battles amongst Gods but also fight powerful monsters. One such quest is to defeat every single one of the mythical monster bosses present in Immortals Fenyx Rising’s map of Isles.
Beating a total of four mythical bosses not only guarantees your progression in the game but with each battle you can collect great loot and complete exploring a new area. So, if you’re on the lookout for those mythical creatures, let me tell you exactly where to find them.
1. How Many Mythical Monster Bosses Are There in Immortals Fenyx Rising?
There are a total of four mythical monster bosses throughout the map of Isles in Immortals Fenyx Rising. They are:
- Ozomene the Mythical Harpy found in the Valley of Eternal Spings
- Medusa the Gorgon found in the Grove of Kleos
- Polyphemos the Cyclops found in the Forgelands
- Kottos the Hekatonchires found in the War’s Den
Although defeating these bosses is an optional task in the full story of the game. But, if you’re aiming for the 100% completion rate, you better defeat these monsters. Now, let’s get right into finding and beating these mythical bosses and eventually gathering the awesome loot they drop.
2. Location, Loot and How to Beat Each Mythical Monster?
The monsters bosses are spread out in four different areas of the map.
I. Ozomene The Harpy
Ozomene the Harpy, is a purple bird like mythical monster that Fenyx needs to defeat to complete one part of the “Who’s the Boss?” quest in the game. Being the first monster Fenyx encounters, Ozomene is quite easy to defeat despite its intimidating look.
i. Location
Ozomene can be found in an island located to the west of the Valley of Eternal Springs. A specific quest of Athena can guide you to Ozomene’s location if you can’t find it.
ii. How to Defeat it?
Being a harpy, Ozomene can fly, slash, and dash through the battleground giving Fenyx not enough time to attack. But after each attack, it pauses to take a breather, that’s when players can attack. Players can also pick up the coal bombs dropped on the ground and throw them towards Ozomene.
Just make sure to bring enough heals and stamina boosters so that you can sustain Fenyx’s health throughout the long fight.
iii. Loot
Defeating Ozomene, players can get the Wings of the Hideous loot.
II. Medusa The Mythical Gorgon
Medusa the Mythical Gorgon can turn any person into stone with just a stare. Although the petrification may not last long, but Medusa’s poison and attacks may become deadly if Fenyx is not extra careful while fighting this snake haired lady.
i. Location
Medusa can be found in an island in the northwest part of the Grove of Kleos area. Surrounded by thick fog and dead trees, the area is just as spooky as Medusa’s abilities.
ii. How to Defeat it?
Medusa has the ability to teleport from one place to another making it hard for players to attack. Players will have to dodge and weave the incoming attacks and attack whenever they get the chance. Players can also use bows and arrows to shoot her from a distance.
iii. Loot
Defeating Medusa, players can get the Sureshot Bow.
III. Polyphemos The Cyclops
Polyphemos the Cyclops is a giant monster that Fenyx needs to defeat to complete another part of the “Who’s the Boss?” quest. Although, Polyphemos is slow due to his heavy stature, his attacks deal a lot of damage.
i. Location
Polyphemos can be found in an insland in the northeast of The Forgelands. One way to identify his location is to follow the tremors and roars of his laughter echoing throughout the area.
ii.How to Defeat it?
Polyphemos’ attacks are quite deadly and deal a lot of damage to the player’s health. Players need to simply dodge the stomp and sword attacks and combo attack when he is getting ready for another stomp. Being rather slow, Polyphemos can be defeated easily if back to back attacks are thrown at him.
iii. Loot
Defeating Polyphemos, players can get the Guardian’s Axe as loot.
IV. Kottos The Hekatonchires
Kottos the Hekatonchires is the last monster Fenyx needs to defeat to complete the “Who’s the Boss?” quest in Immortals Fenyx Rising. Kottos, the last and final mythical monster boss, is a giant six armed monster that is quite the challenge to defeat.
i. Location
Kottos can be found in the south-eastern area of War’s Den inside a large fort like structure. However, you should remember that in order to enter the area, you need to have quite the progression in Ares’ storyline. It’s needed to withstand the stamina drain in that corrupted land and also vault over the high walls of the fort.
ii. How to Defeat it?
Kottos is the toughest opponent amongst all the other mythical monsters and deals quite the hefty damage on the player’s health using all its 6 arms. Players have to be quick on their toes and try to dodge the super powerful fist attack and look for a way to sneak in an attack or two while Kottos is regaining stamina. If players are able to land a solid attack, the monster will be unable to move or dodge the incoming attacks for a bit of time.
iii. Loot
Defeating Kottos, players can get the Sprintrunner Sword as loot.
With all the four mythical monsters defeated you can hurry along with the next task at hand or take your time and enjoy every bit of this beautiful game.
2. About Immortals Fenyx Rising
Sharing the same developer DNA with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is yet another role-playing game by Ubisoft that will transcend you back in time.
The game takes players back to the days of Greek mythology where the gods have been captured by an abhorrent monster, Typhon.
In this gutsy adventure-packed game, it is only Fenyx, the “forgotten” hero who can fight the brawny, nerve-racking foes and be the last ray of hope to save the Gods.
