Episode 4 Discussion
With three episodes in, Deep Insanity: the Lost Child series is finally getting somewhere with its plot. The latest episode revealed a girl named El-Cee, and in the end, Shigure’s target for his secret mission is El-Cee.
What is the mysterious man’s connection to the exploration of the Asylum? Why does the Antarctic Front or Vera want El-Cee executed?
I think the Exiles are advanced or evolved beings, and as the Asylum came in contact with the outside world, a reaction caused the disease to develop. If they can make a drug from the Asylum, don’t you think it’s an unnatural cause?
In the next episode, Shigure will face a tough decision in his mission request by Vera. Let’s wait and see what the series brings in the next episode.

Episode 3 Recap
This episode starts with Larry asking Shigure if he would like to go to the cliff town. Platoon 11 split up to do their own thing in the city and mentioned meeting back at the set time.
Back on the mainland, a mysterious man explains Randolph Syndrome and states even though it’s a risk to humanity, it’s time to advance for the future of humankind. Heading back, the mysterious man reveals how the actual plans won’t be understood politically.
In the city, Shigure tags along with Larry, and they encounter a dealer who offers a risky task, and Larry mentions it is possible but at a cost. Meanwhile, Sumire, Kabato, and Leslie waiting for Larry and Shigure, get notified that they will be late.
Afterward, Larry and Shigure understand that the dealer wants to get vista pazza seeds from a plant in the Asylum. Larry and Shigure enter the Asylum through an illegal passage, and Larry mentions there are no restrictions to do other works when they’re off mission.
Larry and Shigure meet another human in the Asylum, and Larry tries to find the plant by asking the girl, but Shigure tells her to leave. Later Larry explains how different companies are investigating the Asylum and found out there are human beings in the Asylum.
He continues by saying since the companies didn’t have a proper definition for the people they found, they called them ‘Exiles.’ As Larry and Shigure head further, the girl appears again and gestures to follow her.
Meanwhile, Sumire, Kabato, and Leslie track the whereabouts of Larry and Shigure. Later Larry and Shigure find the plant with the help of the girl. Shigure finds out why Larry accepted the offer. He wanted to get a sample from the Asylum as it is restricted in their jobs.
As they are done, a flying Scarred appears. Seeing the Scarred go after the girl, Shigure followed her to make sure she was okay. Shigure saves the girl when the Scarred tries to get her. Larry and Shigure head into a building with the girl to hide.
They plan a decoy mission to lure the Scarred away and save the girl. Later Shigure and Larry are cornered by the Scarred. As they thought it was the end, the rest of platoon 11 showed up. Retrieving Shigure and Larry, they head back to the surface.
In the dorm, Leslie tells Larry might not feel pain if he dies, but others will if it happens. Later Shigure accepts Vera’s mission she requested. Vera understands his reasons and shows his target for assassination. Shigure gets startled that his target is El-Cee, who he just met in the Asylum.
