The gang found it odd that Shigure has to go for a common violation. Shigure found out the commander would be in danger. Hayden visited the HQ to retrieve the Aruka but got into a fight with Vera. Vera revealed the real Aruka and told Shigure to leave with it.
Shigure realizes something about El-Cee and got back to HQ. He tried to save the platoon but found them dead. A colossal creature kills Shigure, but he wakes up in HQ before being dismissed by the committee.

Deep Insanity: the Lost Child gave more meaning to ‘lost’ and ‘insanity’ as the episode revealed new twists but didn’t quite explain the plot’s goal. Viewers have been confused from the start but have theories in mind after this episode.
Shigure realized a connection with Vera and El-Cee based on their clothes. What is the actual use of the Aruka? Did Vera have another intention by giving the Aruka to Shigure?
Shigure going back in time was an unexpected turn of events. How did he get the time repeat powers? Is the Aruka connected to gaining such powers? We can only know as we wait and see what the series brings in the next episode.

Episode 10 Recap
This episode starts with Vera stating the layouts of a mission to her platoon. After she dismisses the team, Kobato asks the whereabouts of Shigure. The commander says Shigure is removed from the platoon.
Later, Shigure is examined in front of the Steering Committee about his removal. He finds out he’s being removed because he violated the ‘illegal entrance to the Asylum’ policy. Meeting his teammates, Shigure states he’ll be at the South Cross for some time.
Larry and the team tell Shigure they will throw him a farewell party. Meanwhile, Vera is seen with the weapons engineer. She tells him the plans are still on and to inform the contact. The engineer asks if Vera got the item, but she lies about it.
Afterward, Shigure and the gang are at the HQ bar having a drink. Larry feels absurd that Shigure is removed for going into the Asylum without permission. He makes a fuss about something that happened to Shigure.
He states he knows Shigure changed when Leslie passed away, and there was a hidden task he had to do. Larry and the team tell Shigure that if there’s something to be done, they’ll do it. Shigure replies that’s not the case and goes out for a breather.
Naida is seen with the engineer getting informed about Vera’s plans. Nadia appreciates him for the intel and shoots him. Shigure hears the shots fired and heads to check it. He finds the engineer, and he tells him to tell the commander that Aruka will be stolen.
Hayden enters the HQ with the help of Nadia and goes to retrieve the Aruka in Vera’s office. Vera appears as Hayden tries to take the ring. She shows the real ring and says he can’t have it. Hayden later lures the commander to the delivery bay and tries to shoot her.
Vera dodges and hides. Finding the situation annoying, she looks for Hayden. Hayden says he figured her out and knows she grew attached to Leslie every time she used her time repeat. Vera attacks Hayden with her blade, but it gets countered by Hayden’s metal arm.
Hayden shoots her arm and state he had to draw her out with emotions to stop her. As he tries to finish Vera, Shigure hits Hayden with a spanner. Hayden calls Naida for a retreat, and he takes the Aruka and leaves.
Later, Vera finds out that Shigure was only protecting her because Leslie told him to do so. Vera then reveals the real Aruka and says she deceived the foe with the ring. She explains that Aruka is a special vessel that can calm a type of power.
Vera then tells Shigure to take the Aruka and leave as his last order. She mentions that is the reason why he was removed from the platoon. Shigure considers it as an order and takes the Aruka. Later as Shigure gets a flight back, he notices El-Cee’s scarf and realizes a connection.
Vera and the platoon are seen venturing into the Asylum on a mission. Larry finds it odd they’re going in the wrong direction. The platoon then reaches a building and finds the mysterious doctor who took El-Cee.
Vera instructs Larry and Kobato to find El-Cee and execute her. The doctor says he won’t let them interfere with the ritual. Hayden appears and starts shooting. Shigure goes into the Asylum and finds the commander, Larry, and Kobato dead.
Hayden says it’s over, and the doctor will change the world with El-Cee. A huge creature appears and shoots a beam at Shigure that kills him. The scene suddenly goes to where Shigure wakes up at HQ ready to leave due to his removal.
