Deca-dence is about a young girl named Natsume, who tragically loses her father and her hand in a Gadoll attack.

Episode 3 of the Deca-dence anime, the title has not been revealed yet. It will be released on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

No, episode 3 of the Deca-dence anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced. The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

The preview for the next Episode 3 was not shown, nor its title revealed at the end of episode 2.

Still, we are expecting to see Kaburagi teach Natsume combat skills so she can continue to survive against the system, which may come to exterminate her after recognizing her to be a bug.

3. Recap of Previous Episode 2

I. Kaburagi’s Past

Episode 2, titled “Sprocket,” introduces Deca Dence, which is run by Solid Quake corporation, a large entertainment facility.

The bots working and playing the real death stimulation game called Deca Dence are shown to log in and enter the extermination ground seven years ago.

Among these player bots, Kaburagi and other ranker players fight to get rid of Gadoll. Their newest member Mikey becomes curious about releasing the limiter, but Donatello gets angry as it is a method of cheating and mustn’t be used.

The other player explains it allows them to release the full power of the avatar, but it can cause physical damage to their real-life bodies. In the next few days, Mikey becomes popular because of his steady rank climbing.

II. Punishment For The Prohibited Action

One day he reaches out to Kaburagi and begs him for help, he explains as he started to climb up the ranks, he doesn’t just want to be a replaceable bot but wants to push his limits.

So, he wants to know about how to release his limiter. Initially, Kaburagi refuses but then tells him about it under the condition that he must only increase the limiter by 20 percent and no more than that.

But in the next battle, Mikey overdoes it and is caught by the system. They electrocute him in front of everyone, as he was a ranker who cheated and scrapped him.

The other team members are found and questioned separately, as the system deems that the member’s responsibility caused this prohibited action.

Kaburagi is offered to work as an armor repairman in the day and recovery agent at night. From that day on, he becomes a slave to the system and decides not to consume any oxygen and leave the system after 175 years as his life will reach its limit.

III. The Bug In The System

In the present, Natsume insists Kaburagi teach her combat skills after watching him fight in the previous episode. He firmly refuses.

That night Natsume catches him while he was recovering the human chip from a human deemed a bug by the system, but she mistakes him for stealing money from a sleeping man and offers to give him her share and tell him to get his act together.

He laughs at her misunderstanding and after logging out searches for her in the system. To his surprise, the system doesn’t recognize Natsume because it thinks she is dead when she was under attack with her father.

Resolving to protect her from the system who may know her as a bug sooner or later, Kaburagi takes his oxygen and reboots at the end of the episode!
