Deca-Dence is about a young girl named Natsume, who tragically loses her father and her hand in a Gadoll attack. Aspiring to become a Tanker, Natsume starts her journey in Deca-dence along with Kaburagi, an armour repairman, and joins his team.
Its second episode premiered on July 15 and provided insights into the secrets of the world of Deca Dence. The episode introduced new beings called cyborgs and a system that humans are completely unaware of.
Kadokawa Anime’s official Twitter account released a new key visual for Deca-Dence that premiered on July 7. The new key visual featured designs for cyborgs and the new tagline for the series.
A promotional video featuring information about the Deca-Dence world’s secret was also released by Kadokawa Anime’s YouTube channel.

Episode 2 Recap
The second episode expanded the world of Deca-Dence and introduced Cyborgs. The episode hinted that Deca-Dence is an entertainment facility run by Cyborgs who pose as Gears using them as avatars and participate in the war against Gadoll as a game.
The cyborgs working for the Solid Quake Corporation sign into Deca-Dence using the Gears as avatars for themselves and fight the Gadoll, calling it a simulation.
The motivation behind the cyborgs using a simulation and fighting Gadoll’s has not yet become apparent, but the only thing revealed by the show is their fight against the Gadoll is for Oxyone.
The show has intrigued the audience by introducing the Solid Quake Corporation and the Cyborgs, hinting towards a much darker secret behind the show.

Deca-Dence is an upcoming original anime television series produced and animated by NUT. The series premiered on July 8, 2020. It tells the story after many years have passed since humanity was driven to the brink of extinction by the sudden emergence of the unknown life forms Gadoll.
Those humans that survived now dwell in a 3000m-high mobile fortress Deca-dence built to protect themselves from the Gadoll threat. Denizens of Deca-Dence fall into two categories: Gears, warriors who fight the Gadoll daily, and Tankers, those without the skills to fight.
