Deathloop – Revealing the Control Panel to Shut Egor’s Device Down

During their playthrough of the devilishly stylish rogue-lite, Deathloop, players will eventually find themselves tasked with taking down the experiment of Egor Sterling in the Visionary Lead, ‘Lost In Transmission.’

Your main goal here is to sabotage his experiment after a recent breakthrough in his research, pushing him to attend Aleksis’ masquerade party in Updaam at night.

But are things really going to be so straightforward?

This is where things are going to get interesting, though. To shut Egor’s experiment down, you need to locate an invisible control panel in The Complex, but the process of revealing it may reveal you dazed and confused. So, how do you do it?

To reveal the Control panel in ‘Lost In Transmission,’ players will need a field nullifier that can be obtained from the second floor of Egor’s lab. Once done, place the nullifier near the marked Panel location to unveil it and progress further into the lead.

Of course, there are more things attached to revealing the control panel than one might initially think.

Firstly, getting into the second floor of the lab is a little tricky unless you have the right set of equipment. Secondly, we also need to discuss whether going to such lengths to take down Egor is necessary or not.

Either way, let’s discuss our main question at hand a little more in depth first before we move on to answer the other stuff.

How do you reveal the control panel in Deathloop?

As you progress through the Visionary Lead, you’ll eventually realize that the best way to take down Egor is to have him attend Aleksis’ masquerade party in Updaam at night.

In order to push him into doing so, you must take down his experiment, a transmission that he discovered and has been obsessed with ever since.

Once you find the listening device responsible for the recent breakthrough, the next thing to do would be to find the control panel and shut it all down.

Visionary Lead

Once you make your way to the marked location for the control panel, you’ll find that Egor has actually installed safeguards to prevent you from accessing it.

Now, to unveil the control panel, you need to head on over to Egor’s office.

Once you’re over to the second floor, use Colt’s phase ability to sneak into the office unnoticed. If you don’t have the ability equipped, you may take the path from the roof into the office.

Warning: Keep in mind that entering from the roof may sound the alarm and activate the turrets until and unless you’ve disabled them.

Field Nullifier

Once inside, you’ll find a large machine with a note next to it called ‘A Feature, Not A Bug.’ Read this, and you’ll come to know that you need to reveal the control panel with a field nullifier. Now, simply pick one of the nullifiers right below the note and head back to the control panel.

Place the Nullifier Next to the Control Panel

Once you place the nullifier next to the control panel, it will finally reveal itself. As the code for shutting the listening device down is randomly generated, you’ll need to check the Visionary Leads menu to obtain it.

Now, all that’s left is to put the code in and shut down Egor’s listening device. With that, you’re finally done with all your work for now.

Of course, the first thing that might pop into your mind right now is, “Do I really have to do all this just to kill Egor?”

Well, let’s take a look at that then, shall we?

Is sabotaging Egor’s Experiment necessary?

If you follow this route and shut down Egor’s listening device, he’ll reluctantly end up attending Aleksis’ party at night. This is good because now, you can take out two of your targets in a single run.

However, you can also take down Egor without going to such lengths. Keep in mind that this route is far difficult, and making your way through Egor’s security measures is no easy task.

If you believe that you can do it, though, then it’s best to take him on early as killing him gives you an Aether Slab, which grants you invisibility – something that’ll really come in handy in later parts of the game.

With all that said, if you want to take the easy route and take down his experiment by revealing the control panel, you now know how to do it.
