Death end re;Quest 2 Game’s English Version to Release Soon

Gamers get disheartened when a game they want to play is not available in a language they know. The essence of a game is lost if one cannot understand the dialogues even if one can figure out how to play.

Not to worry though, most games from Japan get a worldwide release with multiple language options.

A recent example of this would be Idea Factory streaming an English trailer for Compile Heart’s Death end re;Quest 2 game on Friday 29th May. The game will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in Summer 2020. The Steam version is slated to get English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese subtitles in the game. The theme song of the game featured in the video is “Bug Fixer” by Gesshoku Kaigi

The game launched for PlayStation 4 in Japan on 13th February. It is a sequel to Compile Heart’s Death end re;Quest game. The game features new characters and a new story. Character designer Kei Nanameda and Scene writer Makoto Kedoin returned for the game.

The original Death end re;Quest game first launched in Japan in April 2018 for PlayStation 4. The game received a worldwide release in February 2019. Idea Factory’s PlayStation 4 release included both Japanese and English audio with English subtitles.

The game released in both physical and digital editions. The game was launched via Steam for PC in 2019 May.

Game Plot (via Idea Factory International):

Mai Toyama is trying to seek an escape from her traumatic past. She enrolls at Wordsworth, an all-girl’s dormitory situated in the small town in the mountains known as Le Choara, where it was rumored that her sister, Sanae, was last seen.

Mai is hopeful, and she seeks to find her family, but she soon discovers horrifying dwellers that lurk throughout the town after sundown.

At night, Le Choara’s streets are filled with Shadow Matter—a horrific group of frightening creatures. Mai realizes that her hope of finding her sister lies underneath the long-buried secrets which haunt Le Choara.
