1. What is the best Shrapnel build in Once Human? 

The best Shrapnel build in Once Human requires a good weapon with a high fire rate and accuracy, Armor and Mods that increase critical and Shrapnel damage. However, the build always depends more on the user’s playstyle and skills.  

• Best Weapons – SOCR – The Last Valor (primary) and Recurve Crossbow (secondary)
• Best Armor- Beret, Lonewolf, or Falcon (Jacket, Mask, Pants, Gloves, and Shoes)
• Best Deviant- Lonewolf Whisperer
• Best Cradle- Any critical Cradle Override skills that work with the Shrapnel build

2. Best Weapons for Shrapnel Build

2.1 Primary Weapon

The SOCR – The Last Valor is the primary weapon because it can activate Shrapnel. Use Obliterate as the primary weapon mod here. For the Calibration Mod, use a Precision Style (+25% Attack, +40% Range, and –10% Fire Rate) with two Crit Rate affixes (at least +5.5%).

2.2 Secondary Weapon

The Recursive Crossbow is a great secondary weapon choice because it can apply Bull’s Eye, which increases overall damage by making enemies vulnerable. When hitting weak points, the Recursive Crossbow has a 100% chance of using this mark. Use the Vulnerability Amplifier as the secondary weapon mod.

Remember to manage your ammunition carefully, especially for high-fire rate weapons.

3. Best Armor for Shrapnel Build

3.1 Head: The Beret

The Beret is the most crucial armor as it boosts the Shrapnel’s hit parts by +1. Since Valor can trigger this effect up to three times, the Beret can boost the frequency to four, resulting in higher damage capacity.

3.2 Chest, Mask, Pants, Gloves: 4-pc Falcon or 4-pc Lonewolf

The 4-pc Falcon will be the best set for your Shrapnel build. It not only buffs Crit DMG and Crit Rate but also helps you with mobility. The armor is also versatile, working with almost any weapon type. 

The 4-pc Lonewolf will be a better alternative for the late game due to its massive Crit buffs. The full set can provide upto 13% Crit Rate and 60% Crit DMG.

3.3 Armor Mods

• Momentum Up (Helmet): Fire Rate +8% for the first 50% of the magazine and Weapon DMG +25% for the latter half.

• Targeted Strike (Mask): Crit Rate +10% and Crit DMG +25% when hitting marked enemies.

• Crit Amplifier (Gloves): Crit Rate +10% and Crit DMG +15%.

• Covered Advance (Shoes): Grants +16% melee, weapon, and status damage for 30 seconds when not taking hits for six seconds.

• Crit Damage Enhancement (Top): Crit Rate +2% and Crit DMG +12%.

• Deadshot-Talents (Bottom): Crit DMG +4% (can stack up to 36%) for every non-melee critical shot. The effect is removed when reloading. 

4. Best Deviant and Cradle for Shrapnel Build

Lonewolf Whisperer or the Butterfly will be the best Deviant for the Sharapnel build. As for Cradles, anything that boosts Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or Shrapnel DMG should be the priority.
