Dead Island 2 is the latest entry in the much-awaited series, developed by Dambuster Studios. The game is said to be jam-packed with adventures and zombies. Those who have been waiting for the sequel to the 2011 title are blessed with a new trailer which promises tons of fun.
Dambuster Studios finally released the launch trailer for Dead Island 2. It provided a glimpse into the zombie-infested Los Angeles and what players can expect during their stay at Hell-A, i.e., slashing zombies’ throats in glorious fashion.
Publisher Deep Silver recently shared the system requirements for Dead Island 2 PC, which suggests that you won’t need a particularly high-end setup to enjoy the zombie action game. Here are the recommended system requirements for Dead Island 2:
- Resolution/FPS: 1080p/60fps
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i9 9900K
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT or GeForce RTX 2070 Super
- Storage: 70 GB (SSD recommended)
According to Deep Silver, the game will target about 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and 30 FPS on PS4 and Xbox One. However, fans were somewhat disappointed to find out that Dead Island 2 will not support crossplay. This is a major disadvantage considering that co-op is a big part of its gaming experience.
Dead Island 2 will also not feature an open-world setting. Keeping these details in mind, one could argue that Dead Island 2 is not as futuristic as its counterparts in the franchise.
There are a few plus points too. The FLESH system in Dead Island 2 is a procedural gameplay system that keeps track of the damage inflicted upon zombies. This makes the whole process as immersive as it can be for players.
The game’s RPG and crafting mechanics are also top-of-the-class so you can assemble a package that will help you make each and every moment in Hell-A worth it. So, don’t be too disheartened, Dead Island 2 will still be a big name in zombie infested adventure circles.
Dead Island 2 launches on April 21st for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
