DC’s Injustice is an animated movie that sees the Justice League in a frenzy, fighting against each other. Its straight to DVD release date has been set for October 19.
The film will be available in a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray combo pack ($39.99), Blu-ray ($29.98) and digital. Here’s a look at the cover:

The plotline is based on the popular video games and comic series Injustice: Gods Among Us. For those not familiar with either, the poster may come across as baffling: Superman gearing to fire his heat-ray vision at Batman, as Wonder Woman tries to step in with her Lasso of Truth.
This is because the film is set in an alternate universe where Joker tricks Superman into killing Louis Lane. The grief and rage drive the superhero mad, leading him to the decision that he must take control of Earth for the planet’s safety. Casualties on the way will simply be damage control.
Of course, once Batman and other like-minded superheroes find out about this, they team up to put an end to their friend’s rampage. But will they be able to make Superman see sense before it’s too late?
The voice cast includes Justin Hartley as Superman, Anson Mount as Batman, Janet Varney as Wonder Woman and Laura Bailey as Louis Lane and Rama Kushna.

The film is produced by Rick Morales and directed by Matt Peters with a script by Ernie Altbacker.
The package will also include a Special Feature called Adventures in Storytelling – Injustice: Crisis and Conflict (New Featurette) where we go behind the camera to see how such a conflicting story was brought to life.
Other add-ons include The Death of Superman and The Reign of Superman from the DC Universe Movies Flashback and Justice League — Injustice for All Part I and II from the DC Vault.

About Injustice
Injustice is a bold fighting game featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others and it is getting a movie adaptation.
2013’s Injustice and its 2017 sequel are set in an alternate DC Universe where Superman is driven mad after being tricked by Joker into killing his wife Lois and their unborn child. Five years after that tragedy, Superman rules the world with an iron fist, forcing the Justice League of the regular DCU to cross dimensions and battle this tyrannical Man of Steel.
It remains to be seen just how closely the movie will follow the plot of the original game and whether the game’s voice cast will reprise their roles for the film.
