Dragon Ball is pretty renowned worldwide and with such a massive franchise comes a lot of media like manga, anime, and games. For gamer otakus, this franchise is no less than heaven due to its game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
The game has done exceptionally in the market and offers top-notch storylines, visuals, and more. If you thought this game couldn’t get any better, I would like to prove you wrong.
Bandai Namco Entertainment America unveiled a trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which previews the game’s new DLC story based on Bardock. It is titled ‘Bardock: Alone Against Fate,’ inspired by the ‘Dragon Ball Z: Bardock- The Father of Goku’ special.
The trailer begins with an injured and beaten Bardock challenging Frieza to a one-on-one fight which the villain accepts. After that, the video plays a little backstory of how Bardock and Frieza got to that point, leading to their clash.
It shows that Bardock and his entire unit went against Frieza to stop him from destroying the Saiyan race. However, Frieza and his army easily defeat them, leaving Bardock as the sole survivor.
Bardock’s friends’ and comrades’ downfall enrages the Saiyan enough to take on Frieza, despite knowing he’s not strong enough and will get killed. This is something that Goku strongly inherits from his father, as we all know just how many times the hero has stood up against villains.
Moreover, the trailer ends with a silhouette of what looks like Goku during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai arc of the Dragon Ball series. It teases the image with the words ‘Coming Soon!’ which might refer to another storyline based on that era.
This year will be an epic one for gamer otakus, as the Dragon Ball franchise has planned a good amount of stuff for you all.
As for the anime and manga fans, we will probably have to wait a little more for new stuff.
