In episode 11 of Date A Live season 4, the story of Kurumi is very much a tragedy that essentially sets the entire series.

In her mind, she was getting to be a kindhearted, selfless, normal girl and killing Spirit Monsters…only to discover that she was killing people to make the Sephirah ready for the present-day Spirits. In the end, she killed her best friend.

Mio doesn’t seem to be good, especially when she turns so many girls into Spirits (and in doing so, more or less upends their entire lives, killing tons of people in the process).

Episode 12 Speculations

Episode 12 of Date A Live Season 4 is titled “Cycle of Salvation” and will feature Kurumi’s intentions. This upcoming episode will examine what the Worst Spirit wants and why she came back. An exciting episode filled with action and emotion will be coming your way very soon.

Episode 11 Recap

According to the episode, Valentine’s Day began in the classroom, with all the girls giving Shido chocolates. He has made the other boys angry, and they start cursing him.

Kurumi enters, and their romantic date begins on Valentine’s Day as planned. Shido, however, has other plans for Kurumi. As they begin their journey together, Kurumi buys undergarments for herself at the mall. In a joking tone, she says he can’t wait to see her in underwear.

They eventually end up in the park where Kurumi first made Shido watch Mana battle. The pair share chocolates and have fun getting to know one another. Shiko then questions her about her determination to kill the Spirit of the Origin.

At that point, she begins to speak about her past. Her reaction is to break the receiver that Shido was wearing to talk to the other girls before telling him what she has learned.

So she takes him to one of her bases. It is there she tells him about her powers and shows him the timeline of her past. Our knowledge of Mio Takamiya’s past indicates that she was driven to reach her own goal. Even killing her friends and humans was not enough to get her what she wanted.
