The masked rescuer Drake Mallard aka Darkwing Duck is all set to return to Disney. The network has announced a one-hour special for the 90s animated character. The special will be aired as part of the upcoming third season of DuckTales.
As fans would know already, the new season of DuckTales will premiere on September 21 on Disney XD. Titled Let’s Get Dangerous, the Darkwing special will be aired on October 19. The special was announced on Twitter by Frank Angones, the executive producer of the series.
In the name of an official synopsis for the Darkwing Duck special, all we got were two-word descriptions – magical feuds, alien rampages, monstrous secrets and villainous resurrections.
Not many details were revealed about the special, but the episode will be about the “masked vigilante,” according to Nerdist.
The Darkwing Duck TV series aired in the early 1990s for three seasons and has popped up again through this current version.
DuckTales revival itself is a comedy-adventure series following the high-flying adventures of trillionaire Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews – Huey, Dewey, and Louie – and temperamental nephew Donald Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Mrs. Beakley, and her granddaughter Webby.
