DanMachi season 5 episode 2, titled “Master,” kicks off with Ottarl asking Goddess Freya about the rumors swirling around her competition with Syr to win Bell Cranel’s heart. The Goddess Festival, led by Goddess Demeter, begins with a bang. Bell arrives looking handsome, while Syr shows up in a beautiful white dress. Bell leads the date flawlessly, thanks to Hedin’s grueling training, leaving Syr pleasantly embarrassed but slightly conflicted. She loves how Bell has changed but also misses his goofy side.
During their date, the pair runs into Ais Wallenstein, who becomes visibly jealous of seeing them together. Shortly afterward, Hestia, clad in an apron, teams up with Ais to bring Bell back. Meanwhile, in a narrow alley, Syr learns about Bell’s training under Hedin and grows angry.
