With a new season comes new challenges, and for Bell, it means a new dungeon level. DanMachi, the fan-favorite dungeon anime, will be back with its fourth season, and I can’t wait to see what new monsters it debuts this time.
After defeating his staunch rival in season 3, Bell will advance to a new level with an A-list party. The team does look strong, but we are yet to know how many will come out of the mission alive.
Season 4 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will premiere on July 22, 2022. Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ will stream the anime in Japan.
With the latest promotional video and some really cool action scenes, DanMachi has already set our expectations high. The opening theme song of the anime,”Tentō” by sajou no hana, is also previewed in the trailer.
In the teaser, you can see Bell preparing to enter the dungeon’s 25th level. Although the new professional team seems to be handling things well at first, a horde of monsters will soon change the tide against them.
Aside from the new party members, a new character has also been added to the anime. Marie, a cute mermaid Xenos, will befriend Bell in the dungeon and will even save his life when he gets gravely injured.

DanMachi is ready to give Bell more trauma (and some new friends) with season 4, and I can only hope he lives to see another dungeon level. Season 4 will adapt starting from volume 12 of the light novel, and believe me, it only gets more and more bloody from here on out.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, also known as DanMachi for short, is a Japanese light novel series written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda.
The story follows the exploits of Bell Cranel, a 14-year-old solo adventurer under the Goddess Hestia. As the only member of the Hestia Familia, he works hard every day in the dungeon to make ends meet while seeking to improve himself.
He looks up to Ais Wallenstein, a famous and powerful swordswoman who once saved his life and fell in love with him.
He is unaware that several other girls, deities and mortals alike, also develop affections towards him, most notably Hestia herself. He also gains allies and improves himself with each new challenge he faces.
