In Episode 6 of Dangers in My Heart season 2, titled “Yamada Likes Me!”, the graduation ceremony was near and Ichikawa was supposed to be the class representative. 2. Episode 7 Speculation
Episode 6 was a big turning point in the show where Ichikawa and Yamada’s feelings were laid on the table without any captivities. Ichikawa realized how much Yamada had loved him for all this time. The progress in their relationship went through the roof this time. Things will surely be a bit awkward in the next episode now that they are aware of how the other person feels.
Episode 7 will be a new beginning as the second half of the second season begins with Ichikawa and Yamada becoming 3rd-year students. There’s a possibility that they won’t be in the same class anymore, but as Ichikawa said we also will believe in the possibility that they stay together.

On a regular school day, the teacher asked Ichikawa to be the one giving the graduation speech this year. Ichikawa said that an honors student should be doing that, not him, and it was revealed that he came second in the last exam. He wanted to deny but seeing how Yamada wanted him to do it he couldn’t say no.
Even though he said yes, the rehearsals went really badly because of his lack of confidence. After this failed attempt, Yamada asked him why he didn’t tell her about coming second. She also gave him posture training to help boost his confidence and voice. When they were about to leave, they accidentally heard someone confessing to Haryua, and Haruya replied by saying he liked Yamada.
Later, at Ichikawa’s house, after practicing in front of his mom a bit, he asked for some money since he wanted to change his hairstyle a bit. He even made a flowchart to communicate with the salon staff. The next day, he went and got his haircut, which changed his looks a lot. At school, after seeing his new hairstyle, Serina and Yamada did experiments on his hair using wax, and the end product wasn’t too bad.
What happened next was the worst possible thing: Ichikawa forgot his speech at home. He called his sister, who said she’d bring it in an instant, but it was too late. Ichikawa had to go up to the stage with only what he remembered. He was too scared and about to withdraw; his own conscience stopped him from doing it. No matter what he says about himself, at the end of the day, he’s the one who believes in himself the most.
He went up and gave a perfect speech, but afterward, he passed out. He woke up in the nurse’s room when Yamada came to see him. Haruya came to see Yamada and him, too, since the graduation was over. Ichikawa decided to sleep, so Yamada and Haruya started talking there.
After a bit of this and that, Haruya got straight to the point and told Yamada that he had liked her for a long time. Yamada suddenly started crying after this confession of love, and Ichikawa, who had been hearing from behind the covers, got really anxious. Yamada told Haruya that she couldn’t accept his proposal because she liked someone else. This was the moment everything became clear to Ichikawa.
