In The Dangers In My Heart, Season 2 Episode 3, titled “Yamada and Me”, Ichikawa finally faces his true feelings for Yamada. All this time, he kept telling himself he had no chance with her, and she thought of him as a close friend. Still, somewhere deep inside him, he hoped it wasn’t true.
After spending a whole day at Yamada’s house, making chocolate along with her friends, he realizes that, after all, he does want to believe in miracles and hopes. 2. Episode 4 Speculation
Valentine’s Day is close, and we can very reasonably expect the next episode day to be cuter than usual. The episodes so far have already been great and heart-warming. Now that both Yamada and Ichikawa have started facing their own feelings, it’s only fair for us fans to expect something special to happen between them during Valentine’s Day.
In the last episode, Ichikawa even told her that she didn’t have to give chocolates to everyone, but we know she’ll definitely give him one. Yamada’s friends Yoshida and Moeko have also started to catch onto this unspoken feeling of Yamada.
3. Recap of Episode 3
The episode started with Moeko proposing to Yamada and the others that they should make a lot of chocolate for the boys in the class. Yamada happily agreed and told everyone they should do it in her house. She even invited Ichikawa for the whole thing.
The next day, Ichikawa arrived in front of her apartment, and as he was hesitant about going in, Yoshida and Kobayashi arrived. Kobayashi asked what he was doing, and he thought that it was a misunderstanding and he wasn’t actually invited.
He started walking away, but Moeko caught him and dragged him inside. She told the others that she was the one who invited Ichikawa. Yamada welcomed all of them. After seeing Ichikawa, her mom was a bit surprised since he was the only boy. To handle the situation, Moeko said that he was her boyfriend.
Even though she knew it was a lie, Yamada seemed a bit gloomy after hearing this. Later on, while making the chocolates, Moeko started teasing Ichikawa by asking him to call her by her name. This made Yamada even more upset. Yoshida, having noticed this, suddenly yelled, which made Moeko stop.
Shortly after, Yamada confronted Ichikawa, asking in a gloomy voice if he was having fun. Ichikawa quickly ran into the bathroom and tried to leave the house once he came out. Yamada’s mom caught him, and after a tug of war in his mind, he decided to tell her that he was not Moeko’s boyfriend, but he was actually Yamada’s friend. Her mom quickly recognized Ichikawa after this.
Ichikawa still insisted on leaving, but Yamada convinced him to stick around. This time, after going in, Ichikawa saw her dad helping out the others. Yamada’s dad was just as tall as her and honestly looked scary, with his hair covering his eyes. Out of nowhere, he dragged Ichikawa with him to play games.
While they were playing, the girls finished making the chocolates. Yamada and Ichikawa had a cute little moment as she pulled him behind the curtains to have him try the chocolate she had made. While returning home, Yoshida asked him whether he had been to her house before or not. Ichikawa hesitantly agreed to this.
Back at home, Ichikawa’s sister is shocked to hear he had been making Valentine’s Day chocolates at Yamada’s place all day. She casually asked him if he would ask her out someday, but Ichikawa choked on his drink upon hearing this. He told her he wouldn’t do it since their worlds were very different.
Even though he said something like that, he really likes Yamada. He suddenly yelled, saying he does not want Yamada to forget him and that he wants to be her boyfriend. The next day, the two of them went to school together when Yamada told him she couldn’t decide what chocolate to give everyone. Ichikawa just went ahead and said that she doesn’t need to give everyone a chocolate.
