In Episode 10 of Dangers in My Heart season 2, titled “I Want to Get Closer With Yamada,” we see the beginning of their third year in school. The first day was pretty normal, except for a few weird interactions between Yamada and Ichikawa. We were introduced to two new characters, Kanna and Hanzawa.
On the second day, some interesting things happened. After their annual fitness checkup, Yamada and Ichikawa met at the library, where, after fooling around a bit, Ichikawa tried to tell Yamada about his feelings, but Hanzawa appeared there. She misunderstood the situation, so she traded seats with Yamada. This resulted in Yamada and Ichikawa being neighbors.

2. Episode 11 Speculation
A new year in school is a new and fresh beginning for many people, but not for Yamada and Ichikawa; their relationship with each other will only continue to grow better with time. Fortunately, they are in the same class and will sit next to each other for the entire third semester. Surely, it won’t go uneventful while they sit so close to each other every day. Instead of being passive about it, Ichikawa is now trying to tell Yamada about his feelings. Hence, the day isn’t far when he actually succeeds in doing this, and they become an official couple.

The new semester started, and Ichikawa and everyone were finally in the third year. It was supposed to be a happy start, but Ichikawa entered the school, worried about his class. Luckily for him, he was still in the same class as Yamada. Sekine and Kobayashi were also in their class. After finding out they were all together again, Yamada came running to Ichikawa and held his hands, putting them in an awkward situation.
They met their new classmates whom Sekine knew beforehand. These new friends were Kanna and Hanzawa. Hanzawa was the quiet type, while Kanna was more cheerful. Other than some awkward interactions between Yamada and Ichikawa, there was nothing out of the ordinary about their first day of the new semester. The next day, it was for their physical checkup and seat allocation.
After the tests for the physical checkup were done, Ichikawa went to the library, where he met Yamada shortly afterward. Yamada, her usual self, wanted to do something interesting, so she decided to mark their heights somewhere. She marked Ichikawa’s height on the inside of the bookshelf and asked Ichikawa to do the same for her. Seeing how Yamada wrote “Kyo” as his name, he wrote Anna for her. This made Yamada blush pretty hard.
Ichikawa told her how he wanted to get closer to her physically, and even though he was just talking about their heights, Yamada misunderstood the situation and pulled him closer. Noticing how good the opportunity is, Ichikawa wanted to speak up about his feelings but just as he was about to say the magical words, Hanzawa appeared there out of nowhere. She left right after a moment, but the opportunity was long gone.
Hanzawa accidentally dropped her notebook on the way, so Yamada picked it up for her. After this, their seats were allocated where Ichikawa was at the very back and Yamada was at the front. Surprisingly, Hanzawa asked Anna to switch seats with her. Where had she sat earlier? Yes, right beside Ichikawa. This is enough to understand how she interpreted the library situation. This forcefulness made Ichikawa somewhat uncomfortable.
However, he changed his mind when he accidentally saw the letter Yamada wrote for Hanzawa, saying that Ichikawa was shy. She also explained how she cherishes her relationship with him and doesn’t want it to be ruined because of forcefulness. The next day, Ichikawa found Yamada and Hanzawa talking to each other, and the episode concluded as Hanzawa ran off, leaving them alone.
