Since Yamada wasn’t around for some time, Ichikawa went to watch cherry blossoms with Adachi and the others. When they gossiped about a famous idol, Moeko, Kobayashi, and the others joined them. Kobayashi took a picture of Moeko and Ichikawa together, and to mess with him, she said she would send that to Yamada.
Later that night, Yamada called Ichikawa from the hotel room, and even though Ichikawa wanted to say something, he couldn’t do it because Yamada’s mom came and she had to hang up. Thinking about the gossip earlier, Ichikawa worried that as Yamada grew in popularity, people would also start gossiping about her.

He immediately noticed that the last picture Yamada posted was taken in his house, and inevitably, a fan going by the name “pigman*1209” noticed it. He freaked out after seeing the posts this fan made about her.
Ichikawa did something he usually wouldn’t and wrote a reply to this fan, but he got blocked immediately. Ichikawa thought it would be fine since Yamada’s mom was with her. Yamada called him again at night to talk about the shoot and how she got praised. She told him that staying over that night with Ichikawa helped her tap into the anxiety Ichikawa was talking about, and that made the acting much better.
The following day, Yamada had some free time, so she video-called Ichikawa; as they were talking, a shadow emerged behind Yamada, and suddenly all Ichikawa could see was water. Ichikawa thought someone had pushed Yamada into the water, but there wasn’t anything he could do from there. He spent his entire day in frustration, unable to contact Yamada.
He couldn’t take the stress anymore, so even though it was late at night, he rushed to her apartment, hoping her father might know something. After seeing Ichikawa outside in the rain, Yamada’s dad invited him inside, and before Ichikawa could explain the situation, he got a call from Yamada. She asked him to contact someone and gave him a map of the person’s house.
Yamada’s dad showed the map to Ichikawa, and Ichikawa recognized the place immediately; why wouldn’t he? It was his own house, after all. Yamada’s dad called Yamada back and gave the phone to Ichikawa and this time, Yamada’s mom picked up, but after hearing Ichikawa’s voice, Yamada snatched the phone.
She told him how she dropped her phone in the river and couldn’t contact Ichikawa and apologized for making him worry. Ichikawa cut the call, and after hanging up, at the same time, Yamada said something to her mom, and Ichikawa said the same thing to Yamada’s dad. They both said how they loved each other. This wasn’t a confession to each other but more like admitting it to the parents.
A few days later, Yamada returned to Tokyo and texted Ichikawa that she was at a ramen shop. Ichikawa felt relaxed, but that didn’t last long. As he went to check Pigman’s last posts, one of them said, “I found her.” Ichikawa immediately rushed to where Yamada was, and all he found was her standing with an idol he had seen before at Yamada’s photoshoot.
Ichikawa was still worried, so he insisted on joining them for lunch. Yamada was extremely happy after hearing that Ichikawa wanted to join them.
