2. Recap of Chapter 178 of Dandadan
Chapter 178 of Dandadan starts out with Seiko, Kashimoto, and Payase facing the Bull-man head-on. Seiko asked Kashimoto and Payase to cover for her while she went to grab her purse. It would seem Kashimoto uses powers borrowed from guardian spirits, while Payase has the ability to enter shadows and morph his body at will. However, as strong as their abilities seemed to be, they didn’t affect him much.
While Payase and Kashimoto made a diversion, Seiko made her way through the swarm of undead to retrieve her purse. At this point the bull-man realized there was something special about the bag, so he slammed Seiko against the wall as a means of stopping her. He even hit Payase and Kashimoto, who came to her rescue. On her final attempt to retrieve her bag, the bull-man gave her a rear bear hug and squeezed her really hard, asking her to accept defeat or have all her organs pop out.
Kashimoto started attacking the bull with his attacks consecutively, and Seiko asked him to not stop. The bull-man told him that the attacks would only make him stronger and kill Seiko faster. However, after a barrage of attacks from Kashimoto, a single attack from Payase broke the bull-man’s arms and freed Seiko. Apparently, Kashimoto’s attacks, which brought a lot of light, brought really strong shadows, which made Payase’s attacks a lot stronger.
After this, Payase also explained that the flames from his attacks go to temperatures as low as absolute zero, so they didn’t make the bull-man stronger. The cold flames, in turn, made his iron arms cold and more susceptible to break. The chapter ended with Seiko taking her anger out on the bull-man, and she slapped a Ganzan Daishi talisman on his forehead, which made him writhe in pain.
3. What To Expect In Chapter 179
Chapter 178 of Dandadan ended with Seiko, Payase, and Kashimoto defeating the Bull-man. He was going to reveal the person who was after Seiko, but she attacked him, so it wasn’t revealed. In chapter 179, the person behind the attacks may be revealed if the Bull-man didn’t die from Seiko’s attack.
Besides this, Seiko still has to head to the shrine where the great god Okuninushi is worshipped to get her hands on the magic hammer that can turn Momo back to normal. The last two chapters were mainly focused on Seiko, so in chapter 179, we may get a look at what Momo and Okarun are up to.
