Mecha anime sounds obsolete, but even they have shared some unique stories that you would never get to hear anywhere else. ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’, ‘Voltron’, and ‘Patlabor’ are widely known among fans. Also, ‘Gundam’ and ‘Transformers’ continue to tell new stories to this date.
A new original robot anime series has been recently announced that looks like military story but might be much more than just wars and tactics.
On Monday, Cygames and Cygames Pictures revealed the first teaser and visual for Bang Brave Bang Bravern (Yūki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern). An official website and Twitter account were also launched.
The video reveals concept art for various robot models. It also reveals the director and the production studio working on the series. Lastly, it displays the color art of two robots, who are most likely to be the main characters. The two robots are also displayed in the visual.
While the story, the cast, and the release date have not been revealed, one concept art in the video suggests that the robots will be controlled from the inside.

The teaser does give a strong vibe of ‘Gundam’ and ‘Evangelion’, but it does not look as futuristic them. It might turn out to be an advantage for ‘Bang Brave Bang Bravern’ as it can attract those who can’t connect much with science fiction or space fantasy.
