Our brain is just like a human hard disk where all our memories are safely stored. But what if we had the technology to access this memory after death?
In the upcoming anime adaptation of EX-ARM manga, high school student Akira Natsume is turned into an AI by transplanting his brain into a superweapon. Yes, totally opposite to what happened to Vision from MARVEL Universe.
Although the plot sounds interesting, fans are already dissatisfied because of the sloppy CG animation we saw in the trailer videos. The anime will premiere on the Tokyo MX and Sun TV channels on January 10, 2021.
On Wednesday, the anime adaptation of Shinya Komi and HiRock’s EX-ARM manga posted a new official promotional video. The franchise also revealed the new cast members for Elmira and Throughhand.
The promotional video features the anime’s ending theme titled “Diamonds Shine” by Dizzy Sunfist.
Here, Akira’s consciousness lies within a weapon, and we also get a glimpse of all the main characters. The video features some of the intense CG fight scenes that we can expect from the anime.
The anime was initially scheduled to release in July 2020 but got delayed multiple times due to COVID19 pandemic situations.
It is a Crunchyroll Original series and will be streamed worldwide, excluding Asia. The staff cast details are already revealed.

Ex-Arm anime series is expected to follow Akira’s journey with Minami and Alma to regain his lost memories and unravel what happened these past years.
The cyberpunk series and its animation somehow remind us of Ghost in the Shell anime. If you are looking for a sci-fi story with a touch of mystery elements, this is the perfect one for you.
With about fourteen complete tankobon volumes to adapt, the upcoming anime holds a lot of promise.
