Cyberpunk 2077 has had its fair share of mysterious characters. Among these, is a steely, blue-eyed character that is not only a part of the hidden ending but can also be found in the main storyline of Cyberpunk 2077.
Even with a bug-filled launch, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to be a banger at its core. The artists and story writers have single-handedly propped the otherwise abysmal launch. During combat packed missions, you can even find hidden gems that are nothing short of marvelous. In the ‘Night City Legends’ ending, Mr. Blue Eyes sends ‘V’ down a rabbit hole to track his origin.
1. Who is Mr. Blue Eyes in Cyberpunk 2077?
The character is seen in the “Night City Legends” ending where Mr. Blue Eyes offers ‘V’ an undisclosed reward for completing some shenanigans in space. With a hidden aura around him, there were no leads to know about his past.
Mr. Blue Eyes is a mysterious character in Cyberpunk 2077 who is part of a more powerful group of men who control Night City from behind the scenes. It is believed that Mr. Blue Eyes could be a rogue AI looking for vengeance.
It turns out that this is not the only time we see the blue eyes. Some players have come across Mr. Blue Eyes once before, in the gameplay, and have even mentioned how blended into the surroundings he was, that he could barely be noticed.
2. Mr. Blue Eyes and Peralez Theory
In the quest “Dream On,” where we are tasked to investigate the Peralez household’s intrusion, we find out the shocking truth about Jefferson being brainwashed quite literally. On our way to either tell Jefferson the truth or lie to him, we receive a call from an unknown caller.
If you look closely at this scene, someone is watching from the right balcony. On using the optics to scan the man, we realize that it’s actually Mr. Blue Eyes!
The unknown caller and Mr. Blue Eyes merging in the same sequence is not a coincidence. It is perhaps foreshadowing to how Mr. Blue Eyes has a more significant hand and say in things. Even Johnny Silver mentions his interference.
3. Can Mr. Blue Eyes be a Rogue AI?
In the universe of Cyberpunk 2077, people with neon-colored eyeballs are those who are just a body host to someone else. For instance, when Hanako gets in touch with ‘V’ through a doll with red glowing eyes.
Mr. Blue Eyes may be a vessel to someone else. Perhaps a more powerful and rogue AI, since the neon eyes indicate how the body is being a vessel.
All of this gives major G-man from Half-Life vibes as an all-controlling and ever watching entity. Not to mention how all of this reeks of major DLC content. Maybe this is not the last time we see the Blue-Eyed mystery man?
4. About Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.
Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
