Cyberpunk 2077 Sweet Dreams Quest: Where To Find Your Gear?

There is a side job in Cyberpunk 2077 known as Sweet Dreams. Unlike most side jobs that add something to the game, Sweet Dreams is all about losing.

An NPC named Stefan will try to sell you a BD recording for $16,000 Eddies. If you purchase it, You may lose out on every piece of equipment you possess. 

Avoid participating in Sweet Dreams. It’s not worth the effort or time. Given that Cyberpunk 2077 is buggy, there’s a huge chance that you’ll permanently lose out on your equipment.

However, if you have started the mission, this guide will tell you how to retrieve your valuables:

1. Should you buy the BD from Stefan or not?

An NPC named Stefan will offer you a BD recording for $16,000 Eddies. To avoid being robbed of your money and equipment, decline the offer. 

By now, you have already lost on your $16K. He’ll ask you for an additional $4K to purchase the equipment. Again, say no or you’ll lose out on a total of $20K.

Note: If you refuse to pay for the equipment, you’ll only be dispossessed of $16K.

As a side quest, Sweet Dreams offers no value. It takes more than it gives. 

However, if you decided to pay the money to Stefan, you’ll go unconscious and wake up in a bathtub. Worst of all, you will lose out on your hard-earned gears.

2. How to Get Your Gear Back?

Stealth kills will be your friends here. Take a left when outside the bathroom and kill the man standing next to the computer. Right after you kill him, look for a broken wall. Upon passing through it, you’ll spot a locker. The locker contains your treasures.

Now that your gears are back, feel free to slaughter everyone! 

You can also try to pursue Stefan but it’s futile. Interacting or even killing him won’t get you your money back. 

3. About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
