How to Locate and Defeat All 17 Cyberpsychos in Cyberpunk 2077? – Guide

While the Cyberpunk 2077 map is filled with tons of missions to do, there’s one particular side mission that takes a good amount of time to complete. The side mission known as the “Cyberpsycho Sightings” triggers when players come across Rena who assigns them the task to eliminate some Psycho Killers wreaking havoc in the city.

These Cyberpsychos are humanoids who have turned a bit crazy due to the immense amounts of cybernetic augmentations added to their body. This mental illness termed as Cyberpsychosis, refers to these Cyberpsychos who are on a killing spree giving you the sole task of hunting them down.

First things first, make sure you have completed The Rescue mission and progressed enough in the story before attempting the Cyberpsycho hunting mission. You can also progress your game up to the Transmission quest for an easier time in finding all the Cyberpsychos.

1. How to Prepare for a Cyberpsycho Fight?

Before jumping on a fight with a powerful Cyberpsycho, it is recommended that you upgrade yourself with a mod named “Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint.” Then pair it up with Smart Weapons to take out the Cyberpsychos in a non-lethal way.

You should also seek out the Netrunner vendors to buy the System Reset quickhack or make it yourselves if you have the required perks. Quickhacks are the best and sure shot way to stop these Cyberpsychos in a completely non-lethal way.

i. What Are Quickhacks? How to Get Them?

Quickhacks are abilities players can use in combats. Upon successful scanning of objects or enemies, players can use these quickhacks to activate or deactivate any system of that particular enemy or object.

Quickhacks have mainly four categories: Combat, Stealth, Control, and Ultimate. Quickhacks can be bought from Netrunners across Night City or crafted from the crafting menu.

2. All Cyberpyscho Sighting Locations and Strategies to Beat Them

I. Ticket to the Major Leagues

i. How to Beat Them?

To find Alec Johnson, players need to follow the trail of corpses leading up to him. Players need to attack quickly with a heavy damaging melee weapon like Katana before Alec gets to the Helipad and starts shooting.

To avoid his bullets, simply hide amongst the boxes and wait till you get a chance to shoot. Quickhacks like Contagion and Weapon Malfunction can also work to take Alec down.

Remember to pick up his Machine Gun named Defender as it can be of great use later.

II. Demons of War

i. How to Beat Them?

The best quickhack to use is Overheat in case of defeating the Cyberpsycho Matt Liaw. He will dodge attacks quickly and use heavy duty machine guns, but with a quick response and Weapon Malfunction quickhack you can take him down.

Just try to take cover when he is using sniper rifle, as he has a deadly aim that can easily oneshot you.

Tip- Do make sure to collect every shard or loot around the area to complete each Cyberpsycho Sightings mission.

III. Lt. Mower

You’ll find Lt. Mower on an unfinished highway bridge in Kabuki area of Watson. Players can fast travel to Charter Street to get there faster.

i. How to Beat Them?

Mower has a certain area where she sticks to during the battle. Players can use that to their advantage and retreat whenever they feel a life threatening situation to reset the match.

Using quickhacks like Overheat and a powered rifle works best to take her down. Just avoid Melee weapons and make sure Mower doesn’t use her melees as well.

IV. Bloody Ritual

i. How to Beat Them?

Zaria Hughes only appears near the docks after 8pm every night. Although her melee attacks are not that powerful, Zaria’s initial blinding attacks deal a heavy damage. In-order to avoid that, players need to equip the Defender machine gun and blast the Cyberpsycho.

If Zaria is rushing you, simply dodge her attacks and keep firing the machine gun while also healing yourself. The Contagion quickhack can be of use while fighting against this Cyberpsycho.

V. Where The Bodies Hit The Floor

i. How to Beat Them?

Ellis is one of the easiest Cyberpsycho to beat. Players can sneak up on him and easily take him down using a stealth takedown ability. Players can also use the Cripple Movement quickhack and stop Ellis Carter’s movement before attacking continuously with a powerful weapon.

VI. Six Feet Under

i. How to Beat Them?

As Lely Hein is a ranged sniper, players can use his ability to their advantage to take him down. Players need to shoot repeatedly when Lely is trying to take cover instead to trying to outshoot them using a sniper.

You can also use grenades or quickhacks to hunt Lely down.

VII. Smoke on the Water

i. How to Beat Them?

Players need to use quickhacks to stop Diego Ramirez from moving or using his weapons. Once they do that, a powerful sniper would do just the trick.

Remember, Ramirez is a pretty powerful gunner that can blast you with one shot of his shotgun. So, make sure to carry heals and use ranged weapons to keep a distance.

VIII. Lex Talionis

i. How to Beat Them?

Before players can attack Ben, it is recommended that they disable the camera either by shooting them or by using quickhacks. Ben is quiet weak and relies on robots to fight. So using grenades or quickhacks on the drones or robots will render Ben DeBallion completely useless in the battle.

You can eliminate him however you please once you’re done with his robots.

IX. The Wasteland

i. How to Beat Them?

Upon confronting this Cyberpsycho, players need to sneak up behind Euralio Alma and throw a grenade or two to destroy the powered suit he is wearing. Short Circuit quickhack is also useful in this process.

Once he chases you down, try to use the explosives in the area to eliminate him.

X. Second Chances

i. How to Beat Them?

Zion Wylde will be able to spot players from a far distance so it is better to take cover while approaching his lair. Players can use a powerful sniper rifle or the System Reset quickhack to take him down.

Just try not to get too close to him since the area around Zion is filled with explosive land mines.

XI. House on a Hill

i. How to Beat Them?

Players need to dodge Greene’s shotgun bullets and use the System Reset quickhack after scanning him to take him down completely.

Russel Greene’s location is filled with land mines and drones and other deadly things that could easily kill. So, it is better to keep heals and activate quickhacks whenever necessary.

XII. On Deaf Ears

i. How to Beat Them?

Cedric Muller can be eliminated either by the System Reset quickhack or by a powerful sniper rifle.

Do not go for a melee fight as Cedric’s shotgun blasts can do a lot of damage. Try to distract him or use cover when he is approaching aggressively.

XIII. The Phantom of Night City

i. How to Beat Them?

Players need to be careful of Akuhara’s powerful Katana. Instead of using a melee weapon, ranged snipers can be used to take him down.

You can also try the System Reset or other quickhacks to eliminate this crazed Cyberpsycho.

XIV. Seaside Café

i. How to Beat Them?

Make sure not to get spotted or it will be extremely difficult to fight Dao Hyunh. Instead of taking her down with a melee weapon or grenades, use System Reset quickhack or use a sniper rifle to eliminate her from a safe distance.

XV. Letter of the Law

i. How to Beat Them?

To avoid triggering all the land mines in Gaston’s garage, players need to disable it and also disable the deadly lasers. It is recommended to use melee weapons in this area so that players don’t accidentally set off any explosives.

Quickhacks can also be used to take Gaston Phillips down.

XVI. Discount Doc

i. How to Beat Them?

In-order to take down Chase Coley, first we need to take care of his power armor. To do that, simply climb on top of the arena and throw down some grenades to render Coley’s power suit useless.

This way he will be stuck in the same place and you will be able to shoot him down easily. Just make sure to avoid any shots thrown at you and you’re good to go to the last and final Cyberpsycho.

XVII. Under the Bridge

i. How to Beat Them?

Before engaging in a fight with Tamara, it’s strongly recommended to put on the friendly mode for the two turrets located in the homeless camp. Once that’s done, just blast Tamara with gunshots to take her down.

Remember, Tamara can also use quickhacks, so a quick System Reset can also do the trick.

With all the Cyberpsychos eliminated, players will be able to get the “I Am The Law” achievement in the game and successfully complete Regina’s assigned task of Eliminating the Psycho Killer.
