Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat – Win Or Throw The Final Fight?

Beat on the Brat is a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 involving fistfights against several opponents. To start the quest, players will have to interact with an NPC known as Coach Fred. He is a boxing trainer who asks V to flaunt his brawling skills across Night City.

Beat on the Brat starts as a pretty straightforward mission where all you have to do is beat foes but serves a dilemma in the end. After defeating four opponents, Coach Fred asks V to lose the final fight.

To know about the consequences of your choice, continue reading this guide.

Throw or Win the Fight in Cyberpunk 2077’s Beat on the Brat

Before engaging in the final fistfight with the mighty strong Razor Hughes, players will have to take on four opponents:

  • Beat on the Brat: Kabuki – Defeat the twins.
  • Beat on the Brat: Arroyo – Defeat Buck Arnold.
  • Beat on the Brat: The Glen – Defeat César Diego Ruiz.
  • Beat on the Brat: Rancho Coronado – Defeat Rhino.

After you have defeated the enemies mentioned above, V can fight the intimidating Razor.

i. Razor’s Location

The Grand Imperial Mall

Razor can be found in Pacifica at the Grand Imperial Mall.

ii. Final Fight With Razor

When V is in the Grand Imperial Mall, Coach Fred will ask V to have a word with him privately. While conversing, the Coach proposes that you can earn some extra cash if you purposely lose the fight.

Now, the ball’s in your court. You can either lose the fight and make extra money or win it and keep your dignity.

Final Fight With Razor

iii. Throwing the Fight Choice

If you choose the “I’ll do it.” option, V will agree to lose the final fight against Razor Hughes in CP2077’s Beat on the Brat quest. This will result in V earning more cash than he would’ve won if he had won the fight. However, V will lose out on gaining additional Street Cred.

After selecting this dialogue option, all you have to do is get a good beating from the most frightening and robust fighter of the side quest.

iv. Winning the Fight Choice

Selecting the “No Way, I’m Out.” dialogue option means that V will reject Fred’s proposition. He will try to defeat Razor in the final fight of Beat on the Brat quest in CP 2077.

Defeating Razor will help you win a few Eddies. However, players will gain more Street Cred in contrast to losing the fight.

Razor Hugh

At the end of the day, it’s up to you. If it’s money you want to prioritize, lose the fight but if it’s in-game respect that you desire, win the brawl.

If you ask me, it is better to wilfully lose the fight against Razor. Earning money in CP2077 is quite challenging. Therefore, if an opportunity comes by to earn some extra bucks, don’t let it go. After all, winning respect here won’t influence the game by much.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
