It has been over a week since Crunchyroll’s spring lineup began to premiere. You might still be updating your watchlists and trying some new episodes. Now while you are at it, the streaming platform has already begun to build its summer lineup.
Of course, it is too early to announce a complete or even an initial list. But they have recently confirmed some of the anime, so it is best to give you a first look. Let’s start with the recent announcements.
On Saturday, Crunchyroll announced at the Anime Boston event that it would stream Sweet Reincarnation and Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5. Later, at the Sakura Con event, it also confirmed My Unique Skill Makes Me OP, even at Level 1 for summer.
1. Sweet Reincarnation
- Release: July 2023

Pastry, a young boy, is set to become the next lord of Morteln. While he is extremely talented at making sweets, he is also the reincarnation of a genius pastry chef. Although he still carries his will to make everyone smile with his delicacies, he must also protect his land from bandits, nobles, and economic instability.
2. Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5
- Release: July 2023

Based on Kafka Asagiri’s manga series, Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 will show Atsushi Nakajima and the Agency back into action as they investigate the terrorist event causing an emergency in the United States.
3. My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1
- Release: July 2023
- Studio: MAHO FILM
Sato Ryota, a salaryman, finds himself in a dungeon where monsters drop all kinds of loot. Unfortunately, he finds that his physical stats, magical stats, and his level are at their lowest. But Ryota also has one of the most powerful skills – “Drop Skill: All S”. With a poles-apart combination, can he survive the dungeon?
4. Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange
- Release: Fall 2023
- Studio: Brain’s Base
Based on the sequel manga series by Masahito Soda, the anime will tell the story of Daigo Toake, Shun Onoda, and Yuki Nakamura. The three are young firefighters who aspire to join the elite team Orange. Together, they will save the country from a great disaster.

Keitaro begins his university, meets his childhood friend, and takes up a tutoring job. As he begins to think that he won’t be messing with ghosts anymore, it turns out the girl he is tutoring is an occult-obsessed genius who is hunting down dangerous ghosts.
6. Liar Liar
- Release: July 2023
- Studio: GEEKTOYS
At the Academy, students compete for ranks and settle everything through “Games” to earn stars. Hiroto, a recent transfer, defeats the strongest student on his first day, putting him among the top rankers. The truth is that he screwed up and now has to maintain his position in a world of liars.
7. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout
- Release: July 2023
- Studio: LIDENFILMS
Reisalin “Ryza” Stout is a girl living on Kurken Island. One day, she finds an abandoned boat and joins her friends Marslink Lent and Mongarten Tao on an adventure to the mainland. She meets the alchemist Vollmer Empel who teaches her alchemy, and she also learns about her home.
8. The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist
- Release: July 2023
- Studio: Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ
Wataru Sajou, a high-school boy, is head-over-heels in love with his classmate Aika Natsukawa. One day, he realizes he is not right for Aika and keeps a distance from her. Aika, confused at his change in behavior, thinks he hates her.
9. My Happy Marriage
- Release: July 2023
- Studio: Kinema Citrus
Miyo Saimori’s life gets reduced to a servant when her father brings in his lover and her daughter, Kaya. Miyo does not inherit her family’s psychic abilities and turns docile with time. She marries a cruel military commander Kiyoka Kudou who actually turns out to be kind-hearted.
This is just the beginning, and I am already excited about the new entries – Firefighter Daigo, My Happy Marriage, The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist, and Atelier Ryza. Which ones are you excited about?
