The story of Me & Roboco follows middle-schooler Bondo Taira, who lives in a future where many homes have a robotic maid called an OrderMaid. Bondo asks his family if they can get one, and one day, Roboco arrives at their home.
Roboco, on the other hand, is extremely powerful yet clumsy, unlike the other OrderMaids. As a result, Bondo and his family find themselves in a variety of scenarios as Roboco hilariously fails to assist them with day-to-day duties.
Rakuten producer Tatsuya Manago stated during Crunchyroll’s industry panel at Anime Expo that Crunchyroll would begin broadcasting the first seven episodes of Shuhei Miyazaki’s Me & Roboco (Boku to Roboko) television anime on July 4. Crunchyroll will release a new episode of the series every week.
The television animation premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliate networks on December 4th. Each episode lasts five minutes. The anime has a planned film project that is set to premiere in the winter of 2024.
Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service and Viz Media both digitally publish the manga in English alongside its Japanese publication. Viz Media also began digitally distributing the manga in collected volumes in October 2021.
The addition of ‘Me & Roboco’ to Crunchyroll is really good for the series as it will only add more to its popularity, and by chance, if you’re tired of heavy plot-driven anime, then ‘Me & Roboco’ is something you should definitely check out.
