Fusioncutter is a late-game tool that Kay can use to get through a few closed doors that cannot be sliced or opened using a Data Spike in Star Wars Outlaws.
This tool is not an option equipment but something which is necessary to progress through the storyline and complete exploration of the entire game world.
1. How to get the Fusioncutter in Star Wars Outlaws?
Fusioncutter can be acquired in the ‘Legacy’ main-story quest which mostly takes place on the Akiva planet in Star Wars Outlaws. Legacy quest can be started after completing all the main story missions on the other planets.
While trying to rescue ND-5 during the Legacy quest, Kay and Gedeek, a Droidsmith recruited by her, come across some special gates that require a Fusioncutter to pass through.
At this point, Gedeek will reveal that he has a Fusioncutter and will use it to open the first door. Later in the quest, he will pass it on to Kay; after this, she will always have it in her inventory.
2. How to use the Fusioncutter in Star Wars Outlaws?
The Fusioncutter can be used on various special gates in Star Wars Outlaws. These gates usually have upgrade items behind them, so players must thoroughly explore the game world to collect them all.
Currently, the total number of such gates is unknown, but if you come across one and do not have the Fusioncutter, progress through the storyline and you will have it without much effort.
