Starfield has just released its highly anticipated expansion, the Shattered Space DLC. This new content allows players to explore the planet Va’ruun’kai, the home of House Va’ruun, and uncover the secrets of a futuristic theocracy that combines science and religion. 

The DLC promises approximately 12 hours of gameplay, introducing new quests, characters, and various quality-of-life improvements. However, there are some key requirements that you must know before starting the DLC.

1. How to start Shattered Space DLC Expansion in Starfield?

Players can start the Shattered Space DLC in Starfield by purchasing it from the Xbox or Microsoft store for $30. After installing it, players can start the DLC Questline. 

To start the DLC Questline, GRAV JUMP to any star system where you don’t have a quest active and won’t be scanned for contraband immediately.

After the fast travel loading screen, you’ll get a distress call from a star station called The Oracle. This is where Shattered Space begins. Answer their call for help to start the What Remains quest (the first mission of the DLC questline).

2. Prerequisites to start the Shattered Space DLC

Players must note the two important requirements before starting the DLC questline. They are as follows-

• To start Shattered Space, you must finish the game’s first mission, One Small Step. This mission will take you to Jemison on New Atlantis in the Alpha Centauri system. 

• It’s also recommended to be at level 35 or higher for the Shattered Space DLC. Although you can begin the expansion at a lower level, you may find some enemies and missions challenging.

3. How to purchase the Shattered Space DLC?

Players can purchase the Starfield DLC from the Xbox, Microsoft store or Steam for $29.99. After purchasing, check the library and download the Shattered Space expansion.
