Complete Guide on Getting Your Companion Mutt in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Attention dog lovers! In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you have the chance to own a pet, specifically a cute canine companion named Mutt. Your first task in the game will be to feed him. 

Unfortunately, you and Mutt will be separated at the start of the game. To reunite and travel through the game with your buddy, here’s how you can find him.

1. How to get Mutt in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?

Players can get Mutt by tracking him while completing the ‘Mutt’ side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

At the beginning of the campaign, Henry is separated from his dog companion, Mutt. However, after certain events unfold in the village of Troskowitz, Henry will mention where his pup is located. This will trigger the “Mutt” side quest, which will appear in your journal tab. 

2. ‘Mutt’ side quest Walkthrough

Start the side quest and go to the marked location, which is west of Bozhena’s hut. When you get there, you’ll find a bandit skinning an animal. Take him out, then visit Bozhena. She won’t know where your dog is, but you can ask a fisherman to the north or people at the tavern to the east.

Next, go to the inn north of Zhelejov and talk to Innkeeper Lawrence (or find him at his house if it’s early morning or night) about Mutt. He mentions some nearby wolves but has no helpful clues. Then, head northwest to Vidlak. Talk to a fisherman and his wife by Vidlak Lake for more information.

Following this, look for a local huntsman near Vidlak Pond. He is missing and will need your help, starting a new quest called Lackey. After you find and help the huntsman, he will tell you about a shepherd who mentioned wild dogs. You will need to help the shepherd protect his sheep.

Once you do that, the shepherd will point you to an area in the rocks near the Nomad camp, just past Bozhena’s hut. Investigate this area, and you’ll find some remains along the path. Follow the trail around the rocks to find a wolf den, where Mutt will be waiting.
