A FOV Slider May Come to Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Console Editions

Call of Duty fans will be getting access to the newest title, Vanguard, this weekend and will give players a chance to experience even more modes to test out. We’ve also been getting several leaks regarding the game, and the latest suggests that a very highly awaited feature could be coming to the console version of the game.

The feature that has been rumored is a Field of View (FOV) Slider, a function that allows players to adjust their in-game height – higher to see more or lower for better accuracy.

Warzone players have been asking for a FOV slider in the game’s console version for a while now, stating that it would make their playing experience much better. It seems Vanguard could be getting this feature but only in multiplayer mode.

This is still a “leak,” so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but the source for this particular rumor comes from someone directly tied to the game.

The Twitter account of Adam Iscove, Senior Development Director at Sledgehammer Games, recently shared what seems to be a screenshot from Vanguard’s graphics settings menu, and the FOV slider option has been highlighted. This could imply that the option may be implemented in the upcoming beta.

Sledgehammer Games official Twitter account also replied to Iscove’s tweeted screenshot, demanding him to delete it. Soon, the Call of Duty Twitter account replied, urging him not to delete it, as did the Modern Warfare Twitter account, and also went further to post a photoshopped image of a crow with “LMAO” written underneath.

The news was received very well by fans, as evidenced by the celebrations they had in the comments section. But several users are disappointed that the FOV slider is limited to just Vanguard and is not being extended to Warzone’s console version.

But some have theorized that Sledgehammer Games’ initial response may be a hint that a FOV slider will be coming to Warzone as well, on at least one console.
