Developers Sledgehammer and Activision have announced that Season 1 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare III and Warzone is arriving on December 6th. It will include five free weapons, four new multiplayer maps, multiple new modes, the next Zombies story mission, the integration of Warzone, the new Urzkistan map, and more than 100 tiers of Battle Pass.
The developers have announced three new 6v6 maps – Meat, Greece, and Rio and one new 2v2 map – the Training Facility. The 2v2 map will bring back the Gunfight mode.
The Gunfight mode is 2v2 with no respawns. All players are assigned randomized Loadout at the start of each round with the loadout changing every two games. The first team to win six matches by eliminating the opposition, capturing the flag, or by higher health wins.
Another new mode that is being introduced is the All or Nothing mode. Here, players are deployed with throwing knives and no ammo, making this mode quite tactical and exciting. First to 20 kills wins.
The developers have also announced a new update that ensures that many of the bugs in the game are fixed. The patch notes mention many bug fixes, minor changes, and changes to the UI.
The issue wherein attachments equipped with weapons in private matches were not saved to the respective loadouts has also been fixed. Another problem causing loadout items to appear as placeholders while transitioning from Zombies to Multiplayer has also been improved.
Even though there are many complaints about Modern Warfare III’s campaign mode, Sledgehammer games seem to be proactively working on player feedback to ensure the best gameplay experience.
