Episode 8 Recap
Class D students begin studying in two groups led by Horikita and Kushida to prepare for the Paper Shuffle. In addition to classes and club activities, the students will have two sessions of two hours each. On the same day, all the students implemented the strategy.
Due to their shared weaknesses, Miyabe and Hasebe cannot help each other. Yukimura does not feel he is much used in the sporting competition, so he offers to help them instead. Together with Ayanokouji, they study together.
Ayanokouji and Yukimura are surprised that Miyabe and Hasebe’s previous tests have identical errors.
In addition to discussing the upcoming test strategy, Ayanokouji meets Horikita to deal with Kushida, who may threaten the class. A group meeting of students of Class D is held the following day to discuss how everyone should prepare for the upcoming exam.
In the case of Class C, Horikita is in charge of making the questions and is extremely vigilant about not revealing them to anyone. She meets Kushida alone after the meeting in a classroom.
Their rivalry has to end, she tells her. If Kushida gets more marks in her preferred subject than in the exam, she will voluntarily leave the school. She must, however, stop trying to get expelled if she fails to do so.
Horikita requests a witness to their deal to ensure no one will back out. As Kushida asks Ayanokouji to leave the school, he offers to go under the condition of his revealing what happened at junior high.
Ayanokouji realizes that she should not let this opportunity pass up since it will help her get rid of both of her enemies at once after she volunteers to leave the school on the condition that Kushida reveals what happened to her junior high school class.
Ayanokouji and Horikita are so shocked by the truth that she decides to confess it to them. A feeling of ecstasy is what Kushida experiences when she is loved for something she does better than others. Her family and friends praised her whenever she won a competition or scored the best marks in primary school.
In addition to wanting their approval as much as she could, she was addicted to it. Her academic and extracurricular achievements received less attention and praise once she entered junior high school.
Kushida decided to do things for others she would otherwise avoid because she could not stand to be ignored by her classmates. It wasn’t tricky for Kushida to get close to almost everyone in the class by helping them through a breakup or helping them with work.
Even though her efforts made her famous, she found the experience mentally and emotionally exhausting. Eventually, she started venting her feelings on a blog when it became too much for her.
The news of her blog soon spread to the whole class after one of her classmates discovered it. Due to Kushida’s blog post about them, everyone was furious, and they confronted her.
As a result of her actions, everyone turned against each other, and Kushida forgot about his anger. Kushida’s class was affected by a physical altercation resulting from heated arguments.
Her actions were justified, and she regretted nothing. Kushida revealed that even after what happened, she knows a lot about Class D students and plans on using that information against them if she comes under pressure.
