Episode 12 Recap
Ryuuen still refuses to tell Karuizawa the mastermind’s name despite putting her through the worst possible torture. Karuizawa remains uncooperative even after he tells her that the mastermind tricked her from the beginning.
Ayanokouji was of some help to her, and she is glad he spent so much time with him. She recalls all the moments they shared over the years.
The study group members of Ayanokouji are going to karaoke in the meantime. Ayanokouji immediately heads to Chabashira’s office after lying about going to sleep. After what Ryuuen is doing to Karuizawa right now, he informs her that Class D’s promotion is at risk if she leaves the school.
Despite Chabashira’s clear understanding of the situation, she mentions that school administrations and teachers tend not to get involved in such matters. She does not need her help as Ayanokouji has some other ideas.
Her shock grows when she discovers Horikita’s brother, a former student council president, is waiting for them outside. Horikita accepts the offer on the condition he somehow convinces Ayanokouji to join the student council to stand as a witness to the events that are unfolding at this moment.
Chabashira and Manabu discuss everything with Ayanokouji and then walk away. Horikita’s brother explains the grand plan to Chabashira even though he can still not understand it. The whole drama will end in one throw by Manabu, who knows precisely what Ayanokouji is thinking. He tells Chabashira that he is going to do it alone.
Ryuuen and his men are precisely where Ayanokouji knows to look. Amid Ryuuen’s torture of Karuizawa, Albert guards the gate. Ayanokouji informs him without hesitating that he is the person they have been searching for so far.
Upon seeing Ayanokouji at Ryuuen’s gang, Albert leads him to Karuizawa, who finds herself shocked by Ayanokouji’s presence. Even though she was in great pain, she asked him why he had come there.
In the meantime, Ryuuen and his men do not take Ayanokouji seriously when he confesses that he is the mastermind. Even ridiculing his appearance and demeanor is not uncommon for Ibuki.
Using water on the deserted island, Ayanokouji caused the malfunction of her camera, much to her shock. Despite Ryuuen’s silence, he continues to argue that it would be his life’s most significant mistake if he were the mastermind.
Rather than letting Karuizawa suffer for him, Ayanokouji should have let him suffer for him. It was evident that he would not allow that to happen. Ayanokouji surprises everyone by not revealing his plan, meaning he will face them all alone.
Ishizaki was ordered to take him down by Ryuuen since he could not take him seriously. He can easily beat him up while avoiding damage, as Ayanokouji has proven to be more challenging than they had previously anticipated. As soon as Alberta enters the fight, Ayanokouji can fight them simultaneously without problems.
Only Ibuki and Ryuuen remain, and Ayanokouji says he made a mistake by thinking he had cornered him. Ayanokouji’s whole life has intended to escalate the situation to a point where only violence will suffice.
Ibuki tells Ryuuen to take him on because he is still overconfident. Ayanokouji, like others, is never even touched even once by her. When Ryuuen believes he can beat him quickly, he starts fighting him alone. Ayanokouji is unperturbed by such empty boasts, even though he claims to know no fear.
Ryuuen hits him several times at one point only to demonstrate that he does not fear him. As Ayanokouji beat him until unconscious, he fell to the ground. Karuizawa, whom he brutally tortured, is finally comforted by him after the fight has ended.
As soon as he finds himself in a situation like this, he vows to always be by her side and come to her rescue.
