As Ayanokouji appears to have a plan, he tells his friend not to interfere. The group shows no remorse. They take advantage of the fact that Karuizawa cannot stand up for herself. As they are confident that they have cornered Karuizawa emotionally, they not only physically assault her but also shoot the entire ordeal.

With each minute, Yukimura’s patience is thin as the bullying becomes more ruthless. As a result, he disregards Ayanokouji’s advice and confronts Manabe and others who pretend that nothing happened. Karuizawa is whispering to keep her mouth shut before they leave.

Thus, when Yukimura checks up on her, she tells him that she didn’t ask for help and walks away without even thanking him. That same day, Ayanokouji sends Manabe an anonymous email inviting her to avenge Karuizawa, for which he offers all his support.

Karuizawa is cornered in an isolated place by Manabe and some of her friends after their online interaction, where they begin to assault her once again physically. They beat her up even more ruthlessly this time and show no remorse.

Despite her helplessness, Karuizawa does not resist the brutal assault because she knows that angering her bullies could have even worse consequences.

Ayanokouji manipulates Karuizawa after they have left to see if she will stand up for herself. She, however, does not show any motivation to protect herself and accepts his questionable request.

Karuizawa’s lack of self-respect is taken aback by Ayanokouji, but he soon realizes that lifelong bullying has rendered her defenseless. In exchange for her alliance, he promises to provide her with all the emotional support she needs.

Additionally, he plans to use the evidence he has collected against her bullies to protect her from them. Ayanokouji understands that Karuizawa is taking advantage of this golden opportunity to defend herself, so she joins hands with him.

The Mars group meets once more to discuss their plans after failing to end the stalemate at their previous meetings. Hamaguchi suggests that there is only one way to move forward now that the team hasn’t been able to figure out who the VIP is.

The team members must show their cellphones to each other to reveal the VIP’s identity. Hamaguchi believes the plan will succeed, despite Machida’s attempts to discourage them.

The other Mars group members feel confident enough to reveal their emails to others after he opens the email to show he is not a VIP. Each member says that they are not the lucky student until it is Yukimura’s turn. He confirms that he is the VIP by showing his phone.

The story has a twist, however. The phone in Yukimura’s hand begins to ring when Ichinose dials Ayanokouji’s number. Ayanokouji didn’t trust any other group members, which caused the two friends to exchange their phones for protecting the VIP’s identity.

Although showing each other’s emails was intended to build trust, it backfired when Ayanokouji tried to double-cross his teammates. Ayanokouji remains calm while the students leave one after another.

Karuizawa’s plans become even more complicated to decipher after the meeting when he meets him afterward. Even though Ayanokouji exchanged phone numbers with Yukimura, students in his group remained unaware of who the VIP was.

There can be no other explanation than Karuizawa being the VIP and not him. He fooled his teammates by acting as if his cover had been blown. As part of the exchange, Ayanokouji also exchanged the phone’s sim card with Karuizawa.

After the exchange, Yukimura received the phone. Ayanokouji was thought to be VIP when Ichinose called him. Karuizawa owned the phone, as well as the sim it held. As a result, Karuizawa was the VIP of team Mars, not Ayanokouji.
