The strongest power of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Nomu, have shown insane brute strength coupled with multiple quirk retention since their introduction in the attack on U.A.
Recently chapter 262, titled “Mirko – The no. 5 Hero”, gives insight on the classification of Nomu. Broadly, they can be divided into Lower, Middle, Upper and High-end classes respective to their strength.
The chapter starts with one of the talking High-end Nomu blocking the passage between Mirko and the other heroes.
While Mirko was fighting off the High-end Nomu, the classification between different types of Nomu was given as follows:
“Nomu. Corpses remodelled to possess multiple quirks. With no will of their own, they can only act according to their programming.
They’re divided into Lower, Middle and Upper tiers depending on how many quirks they have and their physical enhancements.
Those in the upper tier are at least as strong as ten average people combined. Standing above all of them are High-end Nomu, possessing stats beyond those of Upper-tier Nomu.
They exhibit the personality traits of their host bodies and have a high capacity for independent thought.”
After this buildup of their strength, the four remaining Nomu face off against Mirko. Putting her rabbit quirk to good use, Mirko unleashes the devastating power of her kicks to take down the Nomu with individual flashy moves.
The Nomu may survive this, and come back in the next chapter to defeat Mirko. The next chapter will be released on 8th March and will show us the raids on other PLF bases.
