Get your crucifix and holy water out — Jennifer Tilly has confirmed that Chucky’s Season 1 finale will have an army of demonic dolls.
The TV series began with 14-year-old Jake picking up a Good Guy doll at a yard sale. In Season 1’s penultimate episode, we see that this decision has raked up a massive body count, showcasing that Chucky is as ruthless and bloodthirsty as ever.
Last we left off, Devon wakes up surrounded by an army of Good Guy dolls. Jennifer Tilly, who reprises her role as Tiffany Valentine, confirms that the army is a real threat:
If you’re an avid fan of the franchise, you will remember that in 2017’s Cult of Chucky, Chucky manages to split his soul into making multiple versions of himself. This plot idea can now finally take shape in Chucky, where it is bound to wreak more havoc.
Mid-season, along with Tiffany, the show also brought back Nica Pierce, who continues to be under the control of Chucky’s soul. There is one instance where Nica is able to break free, but Tiffany ensures that they continue murdering as planned.
It is expected that Tiffany will continue aiding Chucky, but I’m personally hoping that Nica will be able to put up some defense too.
The show also saw the return of foster-siblings Andy and Kyle, who after being tormented by Chucky in the movies, are now working their way through getting rid of all Chucky-possessed Good Guy dolls.
I have a feeling that their presence in the season finale will introduce them as recurring characters for Season 2. Jake and the gang sure are plucky. But they’re also teenagers who will need guidance if they decide to take down Chucky for good.
With a Season 2 confirmed for Chucky, it doesn’t seem like a happy ending is scheduled anytime soon for the Hackensack crew.
At this point, we can only pray for their sanity and a little more courage to tackle Chucky. As per Tilly’s tweet, Season 1 finale will be 90 minutes of pure horror. Don’t forget to watch it tonight, November 30!
