Out of the OG MCU Avengers, only Bruce Banner/Hulk, Hawkeye, and Thor have stayed alive. The former two are pretty content with taking a backseat, with new heroes rising in their stead, like She-Hulk and Kate Bishop. But Thor has been going strong, fighting gods and god-butchers alike.
However, after Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor may have chosen his legacy, Gorr’s daughter Love, and may have said goodbye to the role altogether. Though Hemsworth’s return as Thor was teased at the end of Thor 4, the actor has stayed vague about his intention to go back, sticking to evasive answers whenever questioned about returning to the role.
In a recent interview with Total Film (via GamesRadar), the Extraction actor spoke about his challenging role as Tyler and the energy the stunts take in the sequel. He added he’d like to copy the same vigor and style and integrate it into an MCU film if he was “ever to do another one.” What do you even mean, Chris?!
It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m not exaggerating. At the end of a take, you’re sucking air like you never have before, and everyone drops to their knees. But it’s so much more rewarding. I would love to take this style and integrate it into a Marvel film if I was ever to do another one.

In the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder, Zeus (Russel Crowe) did send Hercules (Brett Goldstein) to avenge his fallen reputation against the Asgardian.
The hint that the two Marvel characters might battle it out in Thor 5 was clear, but since then, no news has followed. Will the scene just end up as one of the post-credits cameos that never amounted to anything?
Chances of that happening are quite high since Hemsworth’s recently revealed battle with Alzheimer’s means the number of projects, he’ll take up in the future is limited.

About Marvel Cinematic Universe
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films and TV series, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
The franchise includes comic books, short films, television series, and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters.
