Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army, a fantasy slice-of-life anime, is about to premiere soon. The anime is based on Rokujuyon Okazawa and Sage Joh’s light novel series.
The official Twitter account for the anime series released a second promotional video on Monday. It previews the opening song “Changemaker” by Hinano. The video also shows the main cast members from the series.
The ending song “Dear Doze Days” is performed by Akari Kito. “Chillin’ in my 30s…” is set to release on January 7, 2023, on Tokyo MX and other channels. Crunchyroll will stream the series on the same day.

Encourage Films is handling the production and animation of the series, with Fumitoshi Oizaki directing it. Hitomi Amamiya is working on the scripts, and Satomi Yonezawa is designing the characters for the anime. Tsubata Ito composed the music.
Rokujuyon Okazawa began publishing the novel series in 2018 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Kodansha later acquired the series and has published three volumes as of now. A manga adaptation by Rurekuchie is also being published, with eight volumes currently released.
About Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army
Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life (The Slow Second Life of the Retired Dark Soldier in His 30s) is a light novel series written by Rokujūyon Okazawa and illustrated by Sage Joh. It was adapted into a manga by Rurekuchie and is getting an anime in January 2023.
The story follows a soldier named Dariel with no magic powers, serving in the Dark Lord’s army. After getting fired in his 30s, Dariel decides to retire in a human village and help people with his intellectual abilities.
