Chihayafaru 3 episode 22 “Just as my beauty has faded” just came out, and it was REFRESHING!

After the events in the previous episode, we all knew this one was going to be a filler, and it gave us so much to think about! However, episode 23 is going to take us back into the nitty and gritty of a Karuta tournament.

Episode 23 titled “Mi wo tsukushite ya” will release on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020. The episode is expected to have its usual fill of humor, Karuta action, and heartwarming friendship among the Karuta players from different schools and clubs.

In the next episode, we are going to witness some much-awaited Karuta action.

It will be fun to see who plays whom and who gets defeated in the next episode. Perhaps, we can expect a showdown between Taichi and Chihaya? And will Taichi finally confess his feelings for Chihaya at the end of such a match? Do Taichi-Chihaya shippers dare to hope for a blossoming romance between the duo?

Episode 23 is sure going to be a rollercoaster of fun and emotions! Can we expect some romance in the air?

3. Plot of Episode 22- “Just as my beauty has faded”

The episode began with Chihaya being sad over the rift between her and Taichi. Upon Kana’s suggestion, the girls decide to make chocolates for the guys to cheer Taichi up. Not only was it refreshing, but it was also surprising, especially when Chihaya cried over Taichi! 

Sumire confesses to Taichi on Valentine’s day and urges him to confess his feelings to Chihaya, surprising him and us!

When her valentine’s day plan to cheer Taichi failed (thanks to her father! Ugh!) Chihaya, in her typical fashion, came up with an idea to cheer him up- Taichi Karuta Tournament Cup. The episode ends with a flabbergasted Taichi realizing Chihaya’s surprise for his birthday.

This sure was an unexpected turn of events!

Chihayafuru is a manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Suetsugu. Chihaya Ayase is a schoolgirl who has spent most of her life supporting her sister’s modelling career.

However, that changes when she meets a talented Karuta player, a boy named Arata Wataya. Arata believes that Chihaya has the potential to become a great Karuta player.

As Chihaya takes on a new dream of becoming Japan’s best Karuta player, she is soon separated from her Karuta playing friends as they grow up. Chihaya now strives to become the best Karuta player in the world and to one day be with Arata again.
