Nintendo Switch 2 was recently announced with a sparkling trailer featuring the upcoming console. The successor to the Nintendo Switch is bigger and better. The trailer also confirmed a few leaks such as the optical sensor, magnetic Joy-Cons and more.

Nintendo Switch 2 releases in 2025.
You can play exclusive games for the Switch 2 as well as Nintendo Switch games, both physical and digital. However, certain Nintendo Switch games might not be fully compatible with Switch 2. Nintendo Switch Online members can continue enjoying perks on the new console as well.
