In episode 9 of “Chained Soldier,” titled “War, Naon, Recite,” Yuuki learns how Aoba, Naon, Coco, and every other humanoid in that hidden village gathered there. They were all victims of a Mato mishap and were forced to eat a peach for survival, which triggered their transformation. Most of them were captured by a special division of the demon defense force and kept as test subjects.
This was the reason for their grudge against the organization and their motivation behind planning to destroy them. Yuuki tried to tell Aoba that if they talked with Kyouka and the others, they could surely find a solution without taking innocent lives, but this didn’t shake Aoba. As the seventh and sixth divisions came to rescue Yuuki, a fight broke out.

I. Is “Chained Soldier” on a Break?
No, “Chained Soldier” is not on a break this week, and Episode 11 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 11 Speculation
The light was shed on a lot of questions in episode 10, like how Yukki’s sister turned into a humanoid and why they are so set on attacking the demon defense corps. There was one simple answer, “Revenge”. They are doing these because they were the victims first. That wasn’t the most shocking part of the whole episode, though. Previously, we thought that all the humanoids worked together.
Not only is it not true, but if we look closely, we can see there’s a big difference between how Aoba and the humanoids from the hidden village look and how the other humanoids like Shikoku and Rairen look. From the looks of it, it seems like Shikoku and her group are native to Mato, whereas Aoba and the others are a result of a peach overload. We know Aoba’s motive now, but Shikoku and her group’s motive seems to be a lot more malicious.
3. Recap of Episode 10
As Kyouka and the others were out looking for Yuuki, he was still alone with her sister and the other humanoids. Aoba told him about how she ended up in Mato and then transformed into this half-humanoid look. After getting teleported to Mato Aoba, Naon and Coco all ate a peach just to survive the shuuki, but those peaches went out of control and began reforming their bodies.
Naon, Coco, and most other humanoids were taken as specimens of research by the Ying-Yang dorm, and that’s why they want to destroy the demon defense corps. Yuuki tried to convince them that if they talked with Kyouka and the others, they would definitely do something to help them. This didn’t do anything to change their minds, but meanwhile, all this, Kyouka, Izumo, and everyone else reached where they were.
Kyouka instructed everyone to try to avoid a fight since their main priority was to rescue Yuuki. However, Naon and Coco wouldn’t let that happen so easily. Sahara and Shushu stayed back to hold off Coco while Himari and Yachiho held off Naon. Kyouka and Izumo swiftly recovered Yuuki from the enemy’s grasp. This didn’t last long, as Aoba found them pretty quickly. She was about to attack the commanders, but Yuuki got in the way and begged them to let him talk.
Aoba couldn’t ignore her brother’s request and decided to let him finish. Yuuki told Kyouka and Izumo everything about the humanoids there, from start to finish. Hearing what the Ying-Yang dorm had been doing, Kyouka got really angry and swore to find out the truth, but this was not enough to convince Aoba. Knowing that a fight was inevitable, she moved Yuuki away to a safe position and prepared for the fight. Before the episode concluded, we saw Shikoku and the others plotting something on the other humanoid base.

Mysterious entrances to the ‘Mato’ dimension appeared, threatning humans by the arrival of monsters called Shuuki. Hope came in the form of Mato fruit that gave superpowers to women who formed a matriarchal government, throwing men at the bottom of the social ladder.
During such times, the protagonist Yuuki met Kyouka, chief of the Anti-Demon Corps’ Seventh squad who made him his slave.
The anime adaptation will air sometime in 2023.
